bellajoy
I just got an offer and contract sent to me yesterday, and would like some opinions and assistance. Background: I did a rotation with this office, so they already know me and I know them. Called me in for an interview but basically offered the job on the spot. I just have some concerns about the offer and what would be fair to ask for. I know I need a few things clarified as well. Offer: 2 year contract M-F 9-5, every other Sat 9-1 Call isn't clear 78k Stipend of $500 for health/dental/vision (so not all covered) CME - 2 days, $350 Licensing, DEA, recertification, hospital cert fees, ACLS/BLS, etc paid Malpractice coverage paid 3 wks paid vacation What isn't clear or that wasnt even on the contract: Sick leave vs vacation - same? Didn't see any disability coverage Or any retirement Any thoughts from you guys?
bananapeppers
CME money seems really low to me. Usually it's 1500-2000 PER year.
MMA PA-C
Overall good for a new grad. If you perform well, you'll have leverage for an increase after 2 years.
ASteadman07
is the 500 for dental/vision/health a year?
bellajoy
The 500 insurance is per month. I believe they said the other PA there pays a little over 100/ month on top of that.
Moderator EMEDPA Posted September 21, 2013 Moderator Share Posted September 21, 2013 health care should be 100% covered for you and your family. I have never had a job where that was not the case.
