RangersRock
What kind of clinical experiences are current students having?
GreatChecko
I hear an echo in here...:D At UF, students are required to complete the following clinical rotations: Emergency Medicine – 1 month Intensive Care Medicine – 1 month Internal Medicine – 1 month Obstetrics/Gynecology – 1 month Pediatrics – 1 month Primary Care – 2 months Psychiatry – 1 month Surgery (General) – 1 month Internal Medicine Selective – 1 month Other Electives – 2 months (each of the two electives are of the student’s choosing) The internal medicine selective is done in an internal medicine subspecialty, like cardiology or urology. There are a wide range of electives available as well. From what I've gathered, clinical sites this year are for the most part in Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, and of course at Shands in Gainesville. -GC
