woodsters
UF does not hold where you are from against you. It is true that most members of any given class are from the state of Florida. However, the UF PA program actively recruits a diverse class, particularly those from out of state. I think what you will find, though, is that UF is a great bargain for those paying in-state tuition while the out-of-state tuition might deter those from elsewhere. UF is definitely worth it, on any level. It is difficult to get into, for anyone applying, even us locals :-)
Henry519
I am an in-state applicant, I personally haven't heard anything about it being tough to get into if you are from out-of-state. :\
GreatChecko
There are a few out of state folks in the current class. What Woodsters says is true, there is no preference, however most of the class is made up of people who can call themselves Florida residents probably due to the tuition. Out-of-state tuition is pricey, but it is comparable to many of the private programs out there . Also, after the first year, you should be able to get in-state tuition, so keep that in mind when running the numbers.
