  1. Hey Pre-PAs' Trying to find a Genetics course 100% online to enroll myself in. The ones I've looked at either don't offer it or it's class M-F. Please let me know !! And it'd be awesome if it was a community college per cost and a PLUS if it was in TEXAS. So again I need a Genetics 100% online class since that is my only class left in applying for PA Programs. **I just came out of work so I feel like I'm messaging and then re-stressing the critical lab value to the attending hahaaa while typing this up.
  2. Hello! I am a Pre-PA applying for the second time this cycle. I took 3 science classes this spring to boost my gpa, which is what held me back last year. I'm worried it won't be enough, so I'm considering taking an online pathology course. I found that the University of Minnesota offers it. Has anyone taken this course from this institution? Did you take it else where? Is there another science online course you took in the summer? Thank you in advance, Karina
  3. Curious about the online class chem 206 im aware that it’s comprised of a bunch of modules. Now I’m wondering if there’s any online resources for the assignments to help me complete them. I know the final is a massive portion of the grade. What’s a good way to prepare for it. Is it easy to find resources for this specific course in terms of solutions to questions for the modules and the final exam. Obviously I’m going to prepare for all exams and assignments, but can anything be found online to help? thanks.
  4. Hello all! I could use some advice! I am currently accepted to a pa program that starts in June of this year. However, I am really second guessing this program, but hate to turn down my chance at pa school. I know multiple people that go there currently, and I have heard nothing but terrible things about the program. To start, they have already had 9 students drop out or be kicked out of the class that started in 2019 (I feel like this is very unheard of). I have heard countless stories of the staff being very demeaning and unsupportive (telling students they should drop out, will never become a PA, etc). Not to mention, they currently have a lawsuit against them. NOW... I want to be a PA more than anything.. but I am absolutely terrified!! Should I just go, keep my mouth shut, and get it over with?? It is only a 24 month program. Or should I take my chances at reapplying this summer? (Not sure how covid-19 will be affecting this) Also, due to covid-19, the first semester will be online... Not sure if that will work in my favor or not. Thanks for any input!!
  5. I am currently in my undergrad, and was supposed to be taking Bio 1 and Chem 2 this Summer. With the current pandemic my state has made all universities online for the Summer 2020 semester, transitioning the courses I was supposed to be taking to online. After talking to a Pre-PA advisor from my university, she has advised that I hold off taking these classes since PA schools do not look favorably at online science courses. Unfortunately, if I don’t take Chem 2 this Summer semester it will push off being able to apply to my major causing an extra year of school for me. I understand that PA schools do not look favorably upon online sciences, but even with the current pandemic could this be a problem?
  6. Hello all! Has anyone taken nutrition online at Doane? I'm exploring my options but leaning more towards Doane University at the moment. ANY type of feedback regarding the course or other schools ya'll may have completed it at would be greatly APPRECIATED! Thank you so much in advance
  7. Hello all, I am currently attending a 4 year college to get my undergraduate degree done, but as lots do, I failed Organic Chemistry II. Now I'm looking for an online class to supplement the requirement. It's literally the last class I need to move forward. I found one from a community college near to my school, but the issue with that is the classes have already started. While I was got all the paperwork done, my home college took about a week to send it out, messing up the scheduling portion of attending the community college since they stop scheduling classes after a certain date. I had talked to them before this and they made it seem like that wouldn't be an issue, but now talking to them again, it seems to be a problem. I'm worried as this is the last semester I have before my financial aid runs out. The school takes so long to do anything even with my calling that I don't know if it will be worth the effort to try to get accepted as a visiting student at a different school if I cannot schedule. I have been looking at Doane University, but I'm afraid that the same thing will happen. I am not sure how to proceed, so any advice would be helpful. If I withdraw and try to complete the class over summer instead, maybe that would be better, but I'm not sure if my financial aid will carry that long.
  8. I know many of you have taken Med Term with them. How long did it take you? Has anyone completed their biochemistry class? How long did that take? Thanks!!
