  2. Hi! I thought I'd give this a shot. I'll be applying for Physician Assistant programs this year, and I'm looking to volunteer or shadow a PA in the New York City area. I have a Bachelor's and a Master's in Technology from NYU. I've worked in the Tech/Marketing/Communications field for about 10 years and have decided that the PA field is more aligned with my personal values. That's the field I can see myself in for the rest of my life. My undergrad GPA was very good, my Master's GPA was even better (a 3.8). I have an extensive background in the arts and have specialized in several forms of dance and bodywork, when I was younger. I acquired many applicable skills, having nursed physicial injuries and undergone strength conditioning. However, I am open to all types of HCE as it is still too early for me to know what specialties will suit me best. I've worked at Tech Start-Ups and Global Brands as a Senior Marketing Manager/Project Manager. I'm a responsible, accomplished, skilled professional with several references. I can also provide a character reference from a friend who is both a Professor and Psychiatrist. Please send me a private message if you would like to chat. Thanks in advance.
  3. Have you or someone you know taken their PA school pre-requisites at LaGuardia CC or BMCC? I'll be applying for all the NYC area PA programs, and it's taking these schools a while to get back to me about this question. Hoping someone on here can provide some insights/answers, as I would need to register starting this week. Thanks!
  4. Hey guys I was wondering if anyone who was accepted into the program this past years could share their stats (GPA, HCE, Interview Process). I'm curious to know where I stand. Thank You
  5. I'm a 3rd semester PA student taking adult primary care medicine. Would it be helpful for me to start Kaplan pance q bank? Are there any other sources (preferably cheaper) that provide practice questions by topic/system? How about usmle step 2 questions? Our first exam for the class is coming up and as you can probably tell I'm having a bit of anxiety. Any advice welcome.
  6. hello, I go to school in MA and I am looking to set up a couple rotation in nyc. Currently, I do not have any direct contacts, so I am open to any suggestions. If anyone knows of a PA or DR willing to take on a PA student, please let me know! Thank you! :)
  7. Hi all, I am looking for PAs who have completed a residency or are currently in one and are currently located in the nyc / LI area. I would like to put together an informal info session for my PA program to give current PA students some insight into what the residency entails and your experiences. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated, and of course we will work around your busy schedules. Thank you, Kat
