  1. We talk, discuss and argue on this forum about where we would like to see PAs in the next 3, 5 or 10 years. It will take a huge lobbying effort in each state and nationally to get us to where many of us want to be. Are PAs on this forum willing to donate to their state PAC (political action committee) or to other organizations that will represent their interests? I just donated to PAFT and my state organization's PAC. Are PAs willing to discuss their state issues with the state chapter? You could be surprised at how receptive committee's can be and voicing your opinion and stati

  3. This school isn't listed anywhere that I can see but I'm wondering if anyone has been invited for an interview yet. Given that it's so new, information on NAU has been hard to come by. It would be nice to have it added as an option to discuss under the Arizona programs.
  4. Hi all, I am new to this forum so I hope that I will be able to receive helpful information from all of you. I just applied for PA school in June 2012. I applied to UTMB (rejected), Baylor College of Medicine, UT Pan American, UT Southwestern, and UNT Health Science Center. My GPA is low. I took some basic classes at a community college and my GPA at the community college is a 3.4. I attend a private university in TX and my overall GPA is 2.9. Does CASPA average the 2 GPAs? My science GPA is less than a 3.0. My GRE scores are: Verbal (138), Quant (144), and Analytical (4.0). I volunteered
  5. I just wanted to start a thread for people who are applying this cycle and will possibly be attending. I just got the phone call today for an interview. October 5th! Anyone else interviewing on this day?
  6. Hi all, How long should an applicant take to answer a typical interview question (such as: why do you want to be a PA, what have you dont to prepare yourself for PA school)? I think I have good answers, but I timed myself, and my answers are generally 2-3 mins long. I have a unique background with many diverse experiences which I would like to tie in, however I am reading that answers should be brief ... 4-6 lines at most. What are everyone else's thoughts on this? Thanks
  7. Hi all, I haven't seen this question on the forum yet, so sorry to post this here if it's already been addressed. I'm ready to submit the CASPA application but I noticed something on Chatham's site that confused me... "Pass/fail grades must be calculated into the GPA according to the minimum degree requirements for a “pass.” If the minimum required is a D, the course will be unacceptable unless documentation from the course instructor supports a higher grade." I've e-mailed them for clarification and am still waiting for a reply, but I would like to submit my application ASAP.
  8. Hello, Could someone please inform what is it that PA programs are looking for in the application is it GPA, healthcare experience, personality what is the most important thank you
