  1. Hello everyone! I am a newly engaged applicant who's been accepted to an inaugural program starting in January (fingers crossed nothing falls through) and am looking for advice from any PA-S or PA-C on whether to plan a wedding during didactic year to get married during clinicals or plan during clinicals and get married post graduation? I come from a cultural family so wedding's tend to be big and I am assuming planning will take at least a year or 6 months prior to the date. For what it's worth my program is set to graduate March 2023 and my fiancé is projecting 2022 to be the best for him, f

  3. Hello everyone, I am currently in my second semester of my didactic year. I struggled so much my first semester and ended up having to remediate one class. I feel like I retained nothing from my first semester and can barely recall things. I get so anxious everyday over my future . I have no idea how to face my family if I do fail. Also it would really crush me because this is what I've been working towards for the past 3 years since I graduated high school. Compared to my other classmates I feel like I know the least. Living in fear everyday is really getting to me emotionally and I don't kn
  4. Hey everyone, There is a lot of information about average GPA for incoming students, however, there is little statistical data about PA students in their didactic year regarding GPA and grades. I realize that grades “don’t really matter” in the grand scheme of things, especially when it comes to jobs (from what I have researched). However, I would really like some input on what GPAs look like in didactic year compared to undergrad GPAs. I realize that every program is different, so this comparison can be hard to make. Is there anyone willing to share their GPA from undergrad and didactic
  5. 9 month Pathoma subscription available through 11/20/2017!! Pathoma helped me get through my didactic year of PA school and I've continued to refer to it throughout my clinical year for a quick review and reference on the pathology behind many disorders. I have 9 months left of an original 21-month subscription for sale for $60. I'll also include a PDF of the Fundamentals of Pathology textbook, valued at $54.99 on Amazon. Normal Pathoma subscription: regular 3 month price is $84.95, regular 21 month subscription is $119.95 Payment can be made via PayPal or Venmo. PM f
  6. I am selling the following books as a bundle package- The were many of the texts used at Western University of Health Science during my didactic year (2015). $450 approx value per a cumulative total taken from the lower end prices on Amazon. I’m selling all of them for $400. Some have some highlights and wear. My assumption is that a good number of these books will still be used as the professors don’t change text often and the difference between editions is minor. Even so, if a book or two gets dropped from the syllabus its still a great deal. You can contact me via my email at jasonl
  7. Hey guys, so it may be a bit premature to think about this. But first: I am currently a PA student, almost done with my didactic year (3 more months to go!). I entered the PA program straight from undergrad, currently 22 yo. The only HCE I had prior to beginning the program was working as a lab assistant for a year while finishing up undergraduate studies. I also had some rotation experience to different labs as a student pursuing medical laboratory technologist degree. And roughly 400 hours of volunteering experience. I am still currently working as a lab assistant in a big metropolitan hospi
