  1. Hi, I am a current Physician Assistant student in Philadelphia PA who is interested in moving to Arizona after graduation (May 2013). I am hoping to make some contacts in Arizona (specifically the Phoenix area) to gain more information on what it is like working as a PA in the state. Additionally I am hoping to make contacts for my clinical year starting May 2012. I hope to do at least two clinical rotations in Arizona next year but will have to make the contacts within the hospitals on my own so any advice would be helpful. Thank you Kathryn
  2. Just wondering what types of schedules EMTs on this forum work. Is it mostly nights, days, part time, full time?
  3. Hi, I finished my pre-requisites and part of my application package is to write resume. Im working as self employed and I have never work in health care field. I have been shadowing and volunteering physician and nurse practitioner in the medical clinic for about 2 months now, twice a week. I'm taking vitals, greeting patient and taking history of the patient. What should I write in the resume? Resume is to me written when you are applying for a job. What should I include in it in my case? thank you
  4. Is there any hope for someone who has attended and dropped out of multiple colleges over the past 8 years due to lack of direction and motivation? How much worse would it be if his/her overall gpa is 2.5 and science gpa is 2.0? Long story short, I had no idea what to do with my life and my grades fluctuated dramatically due to lack of motivation at times. I took a year off to figure out what I want in life, improve my study skills, and explore the medical field. Now I know, without doubt, that I want to be a PA, but I'm afraid I've already done too much damage with the constant dropping out and low gpa. Is there any hope? Thanks for your help.
  5. I live in naperville but am going to school here in georgia. My school doesn't have many connections with preceptors in chicago so I have to set up everything. I need 6 week rotations in each of the following: family med ER peds ob/gyn psych IM gen surgery Many of the big hospitals have contracts with the med schools/pa schools there which makes it even harder. Help?
