  1. Starting a thread for the 2021-2022 cycle. I had no idea that they were going to apply for accreditation this year, I've only seen their status as pending for the last couple of months. It's located in a smaller building that will most likely be sharing a space with their PT program that seems fairly new as well. Thoughts on taking the risk to apply to this developing program?
  2. Hello everyone! Just wanted to start the forum for the current application cycle. Good luck to everyone! CASPA and supplemental application submitted on 5/26/19.
  3. Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone will be able to point me in the direction of some hospitals or private practices that have preceptors who are willing to take PA students in the scottsdale, mesa, Glendale, chandler, Tempe, Gilbert, Phoenix area of Arizona. I am currently a first year PA student at Hofstra university in New York and we are getting ready for rotations this year. For my program, we are allowed to do two rotations out of state so I hoping to go to Arizona. However, we are responsible for finding the preceptor and giving the information to Hofstra. I will be staying

    MWU Interview

Hey everyone! Just a prospective candidate for the 2020 class at MWU. I was wondering how the interview process is at Midwestern University- AZ. What types of questions were asked? Thanks and best wishes to all :)
  6. Hello, I am a current, first-year Physician Assistant student in TN but am trying to return home to AZ for clinical rotations. Does anyone know of any providers who may be willing to be preceptors? I am starting my clinical rotations in January 2018. Thank you! Elizabeth
  7. Hi, I am a current Physician Assistant student in Philadelphia PA who is interested in moving to Arizona after graduation (May 2013). I am hoping to make some contacts in Arizona (specifically the Phoenix area) to gain more information on what it is like working as a PA in the state. Additionally I am hoping to make contacts for my clinical year starting May 2012. I hope to do at least two clinical rotations in Arizona next year but will have to make the contacts within the hospitals on my own so any advice would be helpful. Thank you Kathryn
  8. Good Afternoon Everyone, I am looking forward to a great application cycle. My CASPA is verified and I am awaiting supp. app. Let's keep each other posted! Good Luck!
  9. DREXEL UNIVERSITY vs. A.T. STILL UNIVERSITY I received my offers only a few days apart, ATSU before Drexel. Before any of my interviews, Drexel was my number one choice. Looking back, I had little basis for this, other than its reputation and I’ve got a friend who is a first student there who rants and raves about it. My first interview was at Drexel, so I was naturally very nervous. I had no clue what to expect, it was an all day experience and I felt brain fried and overwhelmed by the end. I thought I performed horribly during the individual interview (guess not, since I’ve been accepted
  10. Just wondering what types of schedules EMTs on this forum work. Is it mostly nights, days, part time, full time?
  11. Hi, I finished my pre-requisites and part of my application package is to write resume. Im working as self employed and I have never work in health care field. I have been shadowing and volunteering physician and nurse practitioner in the medical clinic for about 2 months now, twice a week. I'm taking vitals, greeting patient and taking history of the patient. What should I write in the resume? Resume is to me written when you are applying for a job. What should I include in it in my case? thank you
  12. Check out https://career4.successfactors.com/career?company=UMCAZProd for the posting - search for neurosurgery. Ok to message or email me for details.
  13. This school isn't listed anywhere that I can see but I'm wondering if anyone has been invited for an interview yet. Given that it's so new, information on NAU has been hard to come by. It would be nice to have it added as an option to discuss under the Arizona programs.
  14. I'm looking for current and former AT Still University students who have experience with the NAPA Track. Advice, suggestions, experiences, rotations...anything and everything. Thank you in advance!
  15. Hey everyone, I was just curious about the towns/cities in California that are closer to the coastline and south of San Francisco. I wanted to know which areas are really fun for younger single folks (late 20s) and whether or not they are safe for living. I am aware of LA and how the further east you go, the more ghetto it gets. Any areas that are a sure go-to out there? I have heard San Diego, Long Beach, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Santa Barbara....Honestly I don't know anything about them I'm just restating the stereotypes. I do understand cost of living, so you need not warn me. This
  16. Hello lovely PA board, I am currently shadowing an oncologist but she is having a baby on October and (I believe) going on leave. I was wondering if there any any physician assistants -of any specialty- in the Scottsdale(ideal)/Mesa/Phoenix/Gilbert/Chandler area who would be willing to let me shadow them? Thank you!
