  1. Hello everyone! Thought I would get this page started so we can help each other out through this process. Good luck!
  2. Hi I’m a paramedic with my A.S. in EMS. I’m planning out my future to become a PA, but I’m a little confused about the best and fastest route to take. There is a new program for paramedic’s at an accredited college for a bachelor’s degree in paramedicine. I could go right into the program with my current degree in EMS with no extra prerequisites. Or should I get my bacholer’s in a degree like biomedical, but I will need to take some prerequisites? I don’t know if having a bachelor’s degree in paramedicine will hurt my chances at getting accepted into a PA program. I just don’t want to waste time becoming a PA. I love being a paramedic but the money isn’t there for the risks and workload I’m in every shift.
  3. The admission counselors stated that if offered an interview and not accepted, then what went wrong was the interview. So it made me wonder if attending the student Q&A would still be helpful in regards to getting into the school? Or are the counselors being completely honest and after the interview there are no further components that they look at. The particular school I'm asking about is Western university located in california. Thanks!
  4. Is anyone able to speak about what it's like to be a student here or may have personal experience in this program? How is the IPE? I'm considering this school greatly primarily because of the rotations and lecture format.
  5. Hi everyone! I feel extremely fortunate to have been accepted at both LLU and Western for fall of 2020. I am now trying to decide which program I should attend. Anyone have any advice or input into which program is overall the better one? Does the PA school one goes to have any weight on job prospects after graduation? I know that US news ranks Western higher than LLU.. but I'm unsure of how relevant that ranking actually is. I have about 4 years of experience in healthcare and i like the fact that it seems LLU takes on more mature students with paid work experience vs Western. So I am leaning towards LLU. Thanks a lot in advance
