  1. Hello! Would love some advice from other prospective PA students. It is November, and I am still waiting to hear from six schools. I have been rejected from four. No interviews yet. Overall GPA: 3.0 Science: 2.9 HCE/PCE: >1000 Medical Scribe hours in ER and outpatient urology Volunteer: 900 hours with mission trip to Romania orphanage, soup kitchen, youth camp, community cleanup, etc. Also have 150 shadowing NP, Dr, and PA in different specialties And thousands of hours with extracurriculars: dance, college clubs (medical and science), tutoring, and was a TA for ana
  2. So I applied to a dual degree program. They rejected me for PA but accepted me into their MPH. I think public health is interesting but I wouldn't say it's a huge passion of mine. I thought a good backup plan if I don't get into PA this cycle is to just do the MPH. Not sure how it will play out as I am still waiting on a ton of schools. During my time as a scribe, I also acted as in a supervisory role for 20+ other scribes who comprised the staff for the company's contract. In the semester before applying, I enrolled to retake organic chemistry since I fared poorly when I took the
  4. Hi everyone, This is my first time applying to PA school, straight out of undergrad (I'm 22). I have been rejected by 3/5 schools so far, and although I want to remain optimistic about the other 2, I also want to be realistic. I'm thinking that one of the major reasons I have been rejected is due to my GPA (3.13 cumulative, about 2.75 science). If that is the case, I know I could benefit by retaking some classes (slash taking some more classes such as genetics and biochemistry that would increase my range of possible schools to apply to), but I'm wondering what the reaction would be by adcom
