  1. Hi-IM TRYING TO COMPILE A LIST OF CURRENT UNDERGRADUATE PA PROGRAMS . AND A LIST THESE PROGRAMS PREREQUISITES. Thanks Its too difficult to search on-line without being BOMBARDED with ALL THE ON LINE TECH SCHOOLS.
  2. Hi ALL, Does anyone know if these "Spokane" interview dates are for all campuses or just the Spokane site?
  3. Has anyone heard about any additional interviews for Tacoma #2.
  4. Hello NoeKae, It does look like the front office is on "auto-pilot". HOWEVER..the "good news"-Over the last two years I have applied to MEDEX, the interview last year had 36 candidates. The best we could figure,(between ALL the forums, facebook and phone-trees that were in place) they only selected 11-12 for the "24-26" seat class. The thread that I read that said, "...not until you get THE letter-starting with "Unfortunately...", in the mail is very TRUE!. That being said, going into a January interview (or "Selection Conference") you wont have any idea if there are 25 spots left of 1, then you look over your shoulder to see the other ??35 candidates sitting beside you. After more than 1 interview, there is a common theme,-DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR MARBLES IN ONE BASKET!. I do understand that not everyone has a BACHELOR degree. But KEEP CHIPPING AWAY. Remember, IF IT WERE EASY THEN EVERYONE WOULD DO IT. right? My glass says, I'm glad there's only 900+ and not 9000 apps. :) This too will pass.
  5. Hi ALL, just wanted to take a moment and wish ALL of you the best of luck. I have had a couple of interviews and have yet to strike pay-dirt. But, I DO have the last two "selection sessions" burnt into my long term memory. So if I can be of any help, or can ease some of your nerves or insomnia , just let me know. Interesting enough, I put in for T-Town this cycle and have not "heard" back. Unlike the last two years I didn't receive the "met the prerequisites..." email. Yet it sounds like I'm not the first.. PS "they" do keep an eye on this forum. :) . Talk soon, good luck. Wan2bdoc3
  6. hello, again...its been a while. Remember me?..... the TWO time interviewee that did not make it in ,again..... however, Chris?? its a weird liability type thing I.e... if they gave individual information in the form of a critique to EVERY person "A" that didn't make in; then person "A" goes-out and satisfies the critique or deficiencies...then candidate "A" still does not get selected on the next cycle...it would open a BIG CAN of some uhhh HARSH dialogue, like .".... but you said do XYZ; SO I DID XYZ...so WTH?" You see how that would play out with 800 applicants or at least the 300 that get interviewed?? It would cause a NIGHTMARE.. Ron M ....forever working on "ALL ASPECTS OF (MY THIRD) APPLICATION", AND PRAYING FOR JUST ANOTHER INTERVIEW - OVER THE OTHER 800 APPLI"CANTS"....perspective Chris....PERSERVERANCE Chris... My name is Ron Malcomson and I am a appli"CAN" are you? dig your heals in, hang in there! I hear you. but you know something?.....SO DO THEY ;)
  7. WOW!, SO apparently there are some “syntax issues, and the thread comment about the “flexible hours and the duration….” IN MY OPINION, that is true but it also a stretch with an indirect potential inference coming from the reader. THIS is based on my OVERALL critique of what you wrote and most importantly SHARED. I thought it was a great story and you seemed to hit all the points they would potentially be looking for. LOOKS GREAT, I’ve read a “few narrs” but I turned down the TV to read yours. Good luck, Ron.
  8. ALRIGHT! fellow "medic", Nice idea with (P-3) the "rewards of "Rx vs. Trauma"...and the"access to health care..." If I can see what you’re trying to do then "THEY" can to..are you really being honest? you don’t have to slam trauma or the acute care provided by “US” EMS providers, ESPECIALLY since we all know that’s why we got in to IT. HOWEVER, if you've "been there , done that" and you're on the back side of a 25 year career, then let it fly. I was just having a hard time validating the "just as rewarding"...THEN AGAIN, I DO SEE WHY AND WHAT you’re trying to say..AND REMEMBER, THESE DAYS...THE EMERGENCY ROOM HAS EVOLVED TO BECOME PRIMARY CARE FOR MANY OF THE UNISURED. ya think? THEREFORE, you may wanna go with plan "H" and that is for the passion in your "H"eart. I know this motivated you through medic school, i.e. Trauma, Acute Care, bla, bla...The variety and innate daily challenges of life vs death.. oh, and yes, the sore throats and skinned knees..:) Just my thoughts..Ron
  9. Just a quick look, I agree about the "revision" of second paragraph.. maybe from,...."I have spent my fair share of time...." would be a good place or there bouts to begin with, then cont on to the end of 2nd paragraph. I dont think your gaining anything from the "list" of ailments, however I like the way it was brought together at the end of the 2nd. Good opening...along with good last line tie-in...I had to re-read the opening sentence twice to get your point. then I "got-it" and :). good luck, Ron
  10. Hello, I am in the process of finalizing several versionsof a "re-applicant" narrative, asking. Q.(500 words or less) “whathave you done to strengthen your application since your last admissions cycle?”(Which was last year)? WHAT KIND OF FORMAT WOULD YOU TYPICALLY SEE, IECHRONOLOICAL, LINIAR PARAGRAPH, VAGUE OVERVIEW, SPECIFIC. Etc. I FEEL MY SHORTFALL IN LAST YEARS (AFTER MY INTERVIEW)WAS MY LACK OF SHADOWING EXPOSURE. I DONT KNOW IF THIS WAS T H E ONLY REASON,BUT IT SURE DIDN'T HELP, ESPECIALLY WHEN I WAS DIRECTLY ASKED ABOUT PASHADOWING IN MY DAY-LONG INTERVIEW(S). AND Y E S! I OBTAINED MULTIPLE PA AND MDSHADOWS TIMES THIS YEAR... RON
