    Any other scribes applying?

Hi! I'm currently a PA student at USC and was also a scribe before applying to the program. I had other HCE's but I do have classmates who have solely been scribes before and had been accepted in different programs before choosing USC. I personally think that my experience as a scribe definitely helped me in PA school, especially with documentation and being familiar with lab orders, patient encounters, etc. So don't lose hope and just try! There are a lot of other programs out there that look highly upon past scribe experience. :)
  2. Congrats to those who got accepted!! If any of you are planning to attend USC, join "USC PA Class of 2017" on Facebook! (or if the page is still on private, you can PM me or anyone of the other members, and we can send you an email invite) Looking forward to meeting our future classmates!
  3. Here's the link to the facebook page, in case you can't find it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/581175058596299/ Looking forward to meeting everyone! bepearso & TellyDaneArispe, did you have your interviews in September? :)
  4. Hi kanwal786, I think you can email Naisha your update. I think I emailed her or asked her about it before. You can simply email her and ask her what to do too. :) yelenagim, I remember you! I sent you a PM. It's funny, you're right, we were on the same group with JenniferD12. bstone, sorry you were rejected. :( You seem to have amazing stats. I thought the interview went well for me too, but my HCE & GPA were pretty average. Are you still waiting to hear back from other schools?
  5. Hi everyone, I also got my letter yesterday, but I was placed on the waitlist. Good luck to everyone going through interviews! Congrats JenniferD12!! If I'm not mistaken, I think we were on the same interview group?
  6. Got the call yesterday too! (Actually, I was emailed first because my number changed recently, then I called back and heard the good news!) Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! I'm not sure if USC makes the class Facebook page, or could we start one? Really excited for the upcoming year! :)
  7. Elmers: I am not sure about everyone else, but for me, I submitted my CASPA around mid-July, and submitted my USC secondary roughly around the week of August 20. I'm still pretty stunned about how fast the turnaround is! Did you submit yours already? Good luck!
  8. I just received my email invitation for the 9/21 interview as well! I was pretty ecstatic and somehow shocked to get an invite so fast and on short notice! But I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and best of luck to all of us! :)
  9. Wow, congratulations, Sirpaul1990! Excited to meet everyone. :)
  10. I received my supplemental app around the 3rd week of July & submitted it around 3 weeks ago, mid-August. It's all been surprisingly fast. Good luck jaaldana! :)
  11. Hi! Has anyone else received an interview invite for Touro for Oct 1? I was so excited receiving the email that I didn't realize that the first email didn't contain an interview date. But they followed it up really fast with one. Really looking forward to this and would love to hear from people who got one too!
  12. Hi! I was just wondering if mentoring students could count as leadership experience under the Awards, Honors & Leadership category? I was a mentor/ facilitator for a pre-health class on campus and also mentored community college transfer students in their university applications. I am not quite sure where these activities would fall under. Thanks!
