  1. What type of percentage do you use? My new contract is with base, and was asked to present a bonus structure. What did you use for basis, and does your physician or group bill under the physician only?
  2. Experienced PA, starting new position in Physical Medicine and Rehab--Pain Management with Interventional treatments. Not sure how much of the hands on will be with the interventional portion. Have experience. What would be the typical Bonus structure on a practice setting like this? Suggestions?
  3. There is a move to allow FMGs to walk into a STATE and obtain license for practice as a PA, and to sit for PANCE. Are there any States that are currently allowing this to be done?
  4. Hi, I am fairly new to the PA Forum, which is a great resource!!! Sorry, but this could be a long one!! I am an Ortho PA for the past 3.5 yrs, PA for more than 18 yrs. 3 yrs ago joined this group working for 2 of 9 doc group. My 2 are the busiest, and rather frugal with a dollar. I started a little low, but the average for a PA in FL as I had been out of service for almost 4 yrs while in Med School(more on that later). 5. We use Lovenox 40mg qd for 3wks. Recently our hospitals changed to Fragmin. One of our docs had a patient that had severe problems with Fragmin, and demands Lovenox. Noted that either Lovenox or new hospital. I feel that the Fragmin allows the patient to bleed a little too much. No problem with the Lovenox for the past 3 yrs with TKAs. Recent article in NEJM has leaned towards just using aspirin however!!

  7. New to the Forum. Anyone know of a good plan to decide how the bonus should be considered. I am an Ortho PA who is on Salary and takes call 1 in 3 weeks at a time. Also very busy!!! Assist in surgery some office. 2-3 times my expenses in collections. What should I expect my bonus to be after 3 years of working with these guys?? No Call pay. Trauma call, and do alot of extra for the guys I work for. Is there some formula that is a good starting point??
