  1. This is a huge topic. This is my goal and have been planning it for a couple of years + at least. Before you pull the trigger on anything research and talk to as many people you can to learn from their mistakes. Even then your bound to commit some mistakes. That is how you learn. Anyways RE is a good investment but it all varies with your location and laws. Right now due to moratorium that is another big variable. And due to the Biden admin, if all the extreme socialist packages pass (especially with the spending but with raising taxes) we likely will see large inflation over the next decade l
  2. At first at was for the Physician Associate title. It seemed the 'obvious' one. But the more I look at MCP it basically is so easy that it really shouldn't even be a debate. Even if it costs more in the short term, there is no doubt it is worth in the long term of the career. You don't want to be tied down to anything 'Physician' related or you will always be relegated to some type of Physican Extender, basically working on behalf of another career. It honestly does not matter if the name is generic or not. Eventually, people will adjust to saying the name. The main and the most important poin
  3. It's honestly the leadership. It's common sense that if your competitors (NPs) keep advancing (with lower standards, etc) you need to get on the ball. I kinda envisioned this since I was in school, leadership must have been in some sort of denial for so many years. I know that they are now waking up, but jeez they could have gotten so much done previously. We are like 15-20 years behind probably. It is real shame. I might as well just do a MD degree at this point (I have all the pre req w/ a cum laude degree, just never took the MCAT). Only problem is I would lose so much $$ by being out
  4. Thank you EMEDPA something like that would be an option. If anyone knows of other programs similar please post them
  5. Hi guys, I’m excited about the MCP proposition. In the event that it doesn’t work out it’s not a bad idea to have a backup. Years ago I didn’t think it would come to this but I would literally take an NP degree now if I could go back. What is the fastest way to earn the NP degree? Or maybe at least a fully online RN degree? I am in TX, so far here all things are equal, PAs are actually looked more favorably by most vs NPs but we all know that can quickly change with legislation. I am in my mid 30s, closing in on a decade of exp, but I still have some time in front of me. M
