    DOSA help

Hello I recently moved to Southern Utah. I have a job opportunity with a doctor that has not hired a PA before. I will likely need to draw up a preliminary DOSA. Was hoping to get a couple of examples to go off of. Thanks Alex
  2. I am about to graduate from PA school and I am now applying for some ER fellowships. My PA school is not a masters program. I have the opportunity to do the St. Francis Masters for under 10K which is cheap, but don't really see the benefit other than an extra bullet-point on my resume. I am interested in doing wilderness/expedition/rural medicine after I get some years of experience. I was wondering if there is an actual masters program that would better prepare me and be more practical than the alternative? Thanks
  3. Thanks for all the tips so far. Im dying to get out of the classroom. I ordered the "Problem Solving in Clinical Medicine" for like 40 cents. I really like the podcast idea. I have an hour commute plus gym time that I can listen. Any other podcasts you guys would recommend?
  4. I am about a month away from starting my clinical year and would like some opinions on what references you are carrying and in what format. I am trying to decide between getting an ipad mini, iphone 6 plus or maybe just a few books. I tried searching the forum but didn’t find too many threads. Looking for a system to get me through my clinical year and a residency. If your using digital what apps and e-books do you carry or if your old schools what books are you carrying? Pros and cons of both? Thanks
  5. I did ask during my interview and they said that the ARC-PA had nothing bad to say about their didactic curriculum or their clinical program. She said it all had to with record keeping on the students. She said that is where their new requirements came from for next year.
  6. I am blessed with this problem. I applied to RCC and Western and got accepted into both programs. I am freaking out and am so thankful for those who supported me and that my hard work paid off. Now what do I do? RCC is way closer, cheaper, and cheaper. Its $70k cheaper and I can still get my masters. The only thing is its on probation and up for review in September I believe. My biggest fear is that I give up my seat at Western and after being in class for a month the program is closed down. Please help me make the right decision. What would you do? Keeping my family (three young chil
  7. I had an "interview" as well. It was actually a really pleasent experience. When did you have yours? Did they tell you it was down to 50? Did they tell you when they were going to notify us? Good luck to you.
  8. People who get into most PA programs are smart and determined. You need bare minimums and the correct geographic location to be drawn out of the magic hat at MVC. I am not saying that smart students did not fail out or that its a good program but their selection process is not conducive to enrolling the brightest students.
  9. I spoke with a lady in the PA office and she said that the essay needs to fit in the space provided. I explained that it cuts off at 250 words and it would be under the minimum length. She said that they tried to figure it out but were unable to. She reiterated that I need to answer the question and have it fit in the box. Question 1- Would it be better to break their font size rule or essay length rule? In the information session they were very clear that if you didn’t follow the instructions exactly that your application would be tossed in the trash. They said that if you were unable
  10. Is anyone else having this problem? When I paste my essays into the provided space it creates a scroll bar. My essays are between 300-500 words. When I print they are cut off. Ant thoughts? Thanks
  11. Shady comment but.... How would they know? It doesn't say "online" on your official transcript.
