  3. Here is some information about the Louisiana Academy of Physician Assistant group's push to get some of the laws in Louisiana changed to help Physician Assistants better serve patient's and become more marketable. According the the AAPA, there are six key elements of the modern Physician Assistant Practice Act, and the state of Louisiana only meets two of these criteria. Register, come out and be a voice to our legislation to help change this. For information from AAPA on how Louisiana compares to other states click below http://www.aapa.org/...KE Map 6-13.pdf For information on registering for the Legislative Boot Camp, which will be held at the state capital in Baton Rouge, on February 21, 2014 from 7-10am (which will include breakfast, keynote speakers and 1 free hour of CME) please click the link below. http://ourlapa.org/m...5&ts=1389837630

  7. https://www.facebook.com/groups/402740859852708/members/ Feel free to join!
  8. Would anyone be interested in starting/joining a facebook group page for the c/o 2016?
  9. I'm not sure how it works, but all documents need to be received by OLOL for the c/o 2016 by October 23rd. Maybe you'll hear something after that if someone has declined a position. Good luck!!
  10. I have some questions for current students of the OLOL-PA program. * What advice do you have for navigating financial aid, especially loans for living expenses. * What kind of materials are to be purchased before the program starts? (certain laptops/notebooks, stethoscope, or anything I'm not thinking about right now?) * What is the dress code during the didactic part and clinical part of the program? Any other advice you could give would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much!
  11. I got my acceptance email as well! I can't wait to meet all of you!!!
  12. If the provisional accreditation was a concern, it's not anymore. OLOL is now accredited through September 2020. http://www.arc-pa.org/acc_programs/
  13. Got the hubby to check the mail; nothing there today. I hope we hear something soon!
  14. I'm on pins and needles too. I really hope we hear something Monday. Good luck to everyone!
