I'm curious about the job hunt after graduation (I'll just be starting PA school next summer, but I've got my eye on the prize). I understand the benefit of networking, but others have also mentioned cold-calling. Has anyone here actually received a job offer as a result of a cold-call? At the office where I work, we're pretty good about screening calls and walk-in-reps so they don't waste our/the doctor's time. I saw your post in "RE: Interviews" where you mentioned you are a native Californian and applied to mostly California programs.
I am from the San Francisco Bay and I am very interested in attending Samuel Merritt. Would it be possible to meet with you sometime to discuss your perspective on the program? I would also like to hear your thoughts about the other California programs you applied to. I understand you have a super-busy schedule, but maybe we can meet at a cafe during one of your study breaks? If not, I'd love to have a dialogue with you over these private messages or over the phone.
