  1. Has anyone here accepted a job that offered loan repayment assistance? If so, how much did they offer? Was it contingent upon you staying there for x amount of years? Thanks
  2. It sounds like she may not feel comfortable writing you a LOR. If this is the case no LOR is better than a bad one. Find another PA or doc to shadow. Engage with them, show interest, ask questions...even if you don't have any. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Just scrolled through that thread on SDN and they are absolutely ruthless. Their POVs are unfortunate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I am very close to submitting my application but I am curious on one thing. I've met all the pre-reqs except biochem. Mercer is the only program that I will have applied to with that pre-req. I know the website says that they can offer an acceptance with two outstanding classes as long as they are completed before matriculation, but I wonder if I can wait to register for the class after finding out my final decision. In short, I dont want to have to pay 1200 for a class if I don't get accepted. Any thoughts?
  5. A little background on myself 24 y/o working as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the past three years. The first two with a Div 1 Sports Team and this past year with a busy ortho/sports med clinic. I've gotten accepted into a program that starts next year and since I got that letter my outlook on what I do has changed significantly. Prime example: I covered a couple of basketball games tonight for a local 2 year college. Had an 18 y/o female collapse in the middle of the game. Became unresponsive, pale, clamy, had a rapid heart beat. All I could (and all I've ever done) in situations like those are record vitals, comfort patient, treat if I can (rarely) and refer (always). So while I waited the 10min for EMS to come, I couldn't help but think how much more I have to learn and WILL learn to be able to do more for patients like these. As nerve wrecking as it was, it got me super excited to start PA school and expand my scope and knowledge base. Anyone else having similar experiences?

  10. I've got an interview for 10/8. Anyone else?
