  1. I was confident in my first one, but I haven’t written a new one yet for my second application cycle
  2. Thank you for your response! Where do you suggest I gain volunteer hours?
  3. I applied to 10 schools for the 2019 cycle and have been denied from almost all of them. I am going to re-apply this April, but I need some insight on what I should improve. I am not sure if I should try to focus on improving certain things or everything. I appreciate any feedback and advice! Undergrad: Biology degree LORs: 1 professor, 1 PTA, 1 college lacrosse coach (hindsight not my best idea) GRE: Verbal 150, Quant. 150, Writing 3 (ill prepared) cGPA: 3.47 sGPA: 3.15 PCE: fulltime PT aide, over 2,000 hours Shadowing: about 50 hours, with one urgent care PA Volunteer: about 90 hours, in the emergency department during my undergrad
  4. Looking to shadow PAs in Fredrick Maryland, let me know if anyone knows of any opportunities
  5. I assume the reapplication doesn't open until April, is that correct?
  6. Okay, that is great advice! Thank you. I was planning on only doing ST then applying straight to PA school.
  7. It is a 2 year program, but I have all the prereqs for it so all I have to do is the actual SGT classes. But if they don't count towards my sGPA then there is no point. I just thought it would be good to have different PCE hours too.
  8. My sGPA is a 3.15 and my current job as a PT aide has been all of my PCE.
  9. Hello, I have been waiting to hear from PA schools and am not hopeful on being accepted this round. In the meantime, I am looking into increasing my sGPA by entering a surgical technician program. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on whether I should do the surgical technician program or just retake some classes to increase my sGPA. Or will trying to increase my sGPA be a waste of time and I should focus on improving other areas of my application? Thank you!
