  1. Hello everyone! I am a pre-PA UCLA graduate looking for a PA to shadow in Los Angeles County and/or the South Bay area! I live around the South Bay but I am willing to drive anywhere in Los Angeles (or farther) to shadow a PA! Please let me know if any PA's in the area would be open for me to shadow them Thank you!
  2. Hello! I was wondering if anyone has ever sent an application early on the cycle to rolling schools first, waited a couple months, and then sent their application to non-rolling schools later in the cycle (before all deadlines)? Is this even possible or does CASPA not allow it? If you can do it, can you edit/add to what you initially put in the application that got sent out early in the cycle or does CASPA "lock" the details in your application, so to speak? I plan to send in my application around June because I will finish all my prereq classes and get my grades by then. However, if it's possible to edit your application after you send it to some schools, I wanted to work more hours/shadow/volunteer etc. from June until October (since I won't be a full time student anymore), add that extra experience to my application, and then send it out to non-rolling schools before the November deadline. I hope 5 months of extra time would make my application more competitive than what it would be early in the cycle. Can anyone clarify if this is ok/possible? Thank you!
  3. Hello everyone! I recently decided to choose the PA route during the last quarter of my senior year (graduated 2018) and I have been taking a few pre reqs to catch up. As of now, I will technically have my pre reqs done by early June. However I planned to retake Chemistry because I had 2 C’s in the class and I want the schools to see that I can do well in Chemistry. The retake classes wouldn’t finish until mid August (at the latest). My question: Do you guys think it’s better to send in my app early in June, especially since I’m planning to apply for some schools with rolling admissions? Or should I wait until I get my grades back from the retake and send my app by late August? My undergrad GPA right now is around sGPA: 3.25 and cGPA: 3.425 (this is based on my own calculation while following “how to calculate your GPA” on CASPA’s website). This doesn’t include my post bacc work with pre reqs and I’m hoping my GPA will go up too after classes. The schools I'm looking at are mostly in CA (and a few out of state) and are ok with a C for prereqs. And they are ok with having "in-progress" coursework on CASPA. Thank you!
