  1. Hello! I know this is a reach, swimming in a sea of several other posts desperate for experience shadowing a PA. I'm just another in Saint Petersburg, Florida looking to spend time with one for a week or two to solidify my career goals (though I'm sure medicine is my calling!). Please respond to this post if you wouldn't mind a 22 year old college student following you around! Thanks so much in advance!
  2. Hi all How do we go about logging volunteerhours? do we estimate them or do we need to keep a record of all our volunteer positions? Most of my volunteer work is small-time stuff scattered here and there but often enough. A fundraiser here a feeding the homeless here. I don't want the experiences to come off as forced just to get hours though. So how do we log volunteer hours on applications? Thanks!
  3. I have a BA in communications...unrelated I know...so I'm taking every prereq necessary over the next few years. I will be at community colleges and taking mainly online courses as I work 6 days a week. Will PA schools see online schooling/community college as weaker than people who did their prereqs in their undergrad BS? I am so jealous of everyone who has a BS. I feel like I am years behind. I'm hoping my chances aren't even more shot by completing courses at CCs and online.
  4. This is going to sound pretty dumb but I'm serious! I'm so confused when it comes to applying to PA schools regarding the prerequisite coursework. I know MEDEX say that the courses can't be a part of prior training, but then I read online articles about how to incorporate prereqs for PA schools into your undergrad experience, killing 2 birds with 1 stone sorta thing...I understand the necessary courses. But I'm having a hard time discerning if the coursework can have been done as a part of one's undergrad. For example the cellular bio I took in my undergrad. Will that be applicable to MEDEX? O
