  1. Thanks guys! As far as getting hours, would it make more sense to focus all my time getting EMT hours or mix it up and do some scribing too? I know some schools don't accept scribe hours, but overall would it look better to have some variety?
  2. I'm starting to look at PA schools and applications. I know I need a ton more hours, but I'm hoping for other advice/ideas on what could strengthen my application :) Right now I’m finishing up my degree and plan to take a year off to work as an EMT for PCE. Major: SLHS, Bachelor of Arts GPA: 3.658 Grades: Bio 1 & 2: A- Intro to Chem: A Chem 1: B Chem 2: B- Orgo 1: A- Orgo 2: A- Orgo lab: A- (it is it’s own class at my school) Psych 1: A Psych 2: A- A & P (2 semesters): B Med. Terminology: A Stat 1: A- Stat 2: B+ Micro: B+ GRE: Verbal: 156 Quantitative: 152 Writing: 4.0 HCE: 0 PCE: 164 hours as PCA; 200 as rad tech assistant Shadowing Hours: PA: 28 D.O.: 220 Volunteer Hours: 430 Healthcare Certifications: EMT, BLS, TCCC, Bleeding Control, Bleeding Control Instructor, AHA CPR Instructor LOR: PCA Manager Academic Professor Academic Professor Teaching Experience: Started monthly Bleeding Control classes at my university Assistant teach TCCC courses with local hospital Currently becoming CPR instructor, planning to teach monthly BLS/Heartsaver classes once I’m certified in March Taught grade school kids about local ecosystem through a year-long high school program
