  1. As promised here is the sheet detailing some general interview advice, put together by our vice president, we certainly hope that you find it helpful! Some people have asked about the essay and all I can say about that is that during our cycle we had a handwritten essay over two questions that were very straightforward. It isn't complicated like the GRE writing section, so I wouldn't stress out about it at all! Feel free to ask me any more questions that you may have, I look forward to meeting everyone! 2. Congratulations to everyone that received an interview! I'm the class president for the class of 2019 at UTHSC and I just wanted everyone to know that our cohort is currently working on a compilation of interview tips and things we wish we would have known prior to our interview last year. Stay tuned, when it's ready we will post the link here for everyone. Until then, make sure you check out our program's Instagram page that was previously posted by a fellow class officer. My classmates and I have little to no insight on how/when interview invitations go out and if any more are coming, so if you have questions about that I'd advise you to go through the official program channels. Once again, congratulations and good luck!
  3. The Facebook group isn't official so I don't think you can count on that number as a reliable count unfortunately. Most of the people on that page either found out about it from this forum or because they had some other connection to someone else in the group. They haven't mentioned it in any official correspondence with the school. That's not to say that all 30 spots are definitely filled or anything, just that we don't know how many people have accepted spots and don't know about the FB group or haven't joined it for some other reason. 4. During our interview they told us that ARC-PA wanted to protect the program and felt that the program would be better served under the medical school's supervision. The University complied with this and moved the PA program to the purview of the medical college. No other more specific details were provided to us. They specifically told us that they had not been restricted on how many students they could accept, which is a very good sign. Programs that are facing severe disfunction usually are. I think that this combined with the PANCE scores for the first couple of graduating classes should ease any worries about the quality of the program. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  5. You have to wait until you get your netID to pay the deposit. There was a technical issue during the first round so it took a couple of weeks, but they might have figured it all out by now. You'll get an email explaining how it all works out. Congratulations! Can't wait to meet everyone this Janrurary! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. The seat deposit issue has been fixed, I was able to successfully pay mine this morning. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. No word yet Mudislander, I sent an email but haven't heard back. I'm sure they're aware of the issue and working on it. Side note, not sure why my posts aren't quoting the post I'm responding to. Haven't been able to figure it out on the Android app yet. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. Im also getting the $200 maximum payment amount. I'm going to follow up with the department before proceeding further. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. I saw the Net-ID came in yesterday, but I couldn't get signed in from my work computer. I'll let you know after I give it another shot today. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. I brought a resume with a headshot on it and a report cover. I think it helps you stand out and appear professional. Every little bit helps, good luck!! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. I still haven't received a Net ID, I was wondering if anyone else that has decided to accept an offer has received one yet? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. I felt prepared, but still nervous like I'm sure you're feeling. The feedback from other students was accurate, the faculty does a good job of making you feel at ease and welcomed. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
