  1. Hi, all! I am a current PA student at UAMS in Little Rock, AR, seeking a dermatology rotation in the Dallas, TX, area. I do not start rotations until June 2019; however, if I wish to arrange rotations that are outside Arkansas, they need to be set in stone around December. I am interested in pursuing a career in dermatology. Unfortunately, my school does offer a dermatology rotation. With that being said, if you (or somebody you know) working in dermatology is willing to take in a PA student, please let me know! Rotations are 5 weeks long. Thank you! Katie

  3. Invited to interview on 11/19, but will be declining because i have accepted an offer At another school! Good luck everybody!
  4. I’ve heard they are having 4 interviews this year. And they are accepting 40. I would assume they are accepting max 10 immediately following each interview to leave room for the next session. Probably less though so that they can reassess waitlisted applicants after all sessions have concluded.
  5. Insbarasu i believe. I might have misspelt it a little bit though
  6. I was extended an interview offer for November 1-2! Hope this helps somebody out!
  7. Invited to interview on November 2nd, but will be declining because i have been accepted to a program closer to home. Good luck everybody!
  8. I will be forfeiting my seat, as i have accepted an offer closer to home! Hope this helps somebody out! Good luck everybody!!
  9. I think they have 3 total sessions. So two left- October and November. Last year they had three (September, November, December)
  10. One is coming up in two weeks, but UAMS would be ideal! Trying (mostly failing) to be patient lolol
  11. FYI- They have filled 19 spots so far- i think they plan on having a class of 34
  12. I was accepted 4 days after my interview. Interviewed 07/13 (Friday), accepted 7/17 (Tuesday evening)
  13. When they asked you why you wanted to go there, were you up front by telling them it was because of cost, proximity, and the free clinic?
  14. Finally got my “under review” email! Applied mid may.
  15. I had a C in genetics - retook and got an A. Also had a C in organic chem- retook and got an A. Three days after i told them about my retake chem final grade, i was extended an interview invite. Not sure if that was a coincidence, but i thought it was interesting.
  16. Hey girl! You have stellar stats. Did you have any C’s in prerequisite courses?
  17. I called last week to ask about about the under review emails and she said they’re running a little behind. I don’t recommend calling lol
  18. Anybody know if they’re still sending out interview invites?
  19. UTSW only invites 180 people to interview out of 2,000 applicants. I understand your frustration, but i think it’s too early in the game to freak out. Try applying to schools that don’t have rolling admissions, so that you have further chances of scoring interviews. I am applying to 12 schools and have been invited to only 3 interviews so far..and i have 3.6 science + 3.6 cumulative, 4,000 hours as an MA and shadowing and volunteer hours and a 308 GRE. And I probably won’t get an interview at UTSW. Stay optimistic, look at other schools, and always have a plan in case this year doesn’t work ou
  20. I recommend retaking your GRE. A lot of the schools prefer a score of 300 as a minimum
