  1. Does anyone know if this program places an emphasis on an ability to speak Spanish or other foreign language?
  2. For applicants with many hours of volunteer experience(500+, even in the thousands...) what types of experience do you have and how many years did it take to gain that many hours?
  3. When creating our C.V.s, if we have experience performing the same job (same duties) in multiple environments/specialties, i.e., medical scribe in an E.D. and a dermatology office, and our duties are the same, is it ok to use the same job description for each? Or will that seem bland, generic, and lazy? For each job my duties included documenting the HPI, physical exam, and plan. Each job was a obviously a very unique experience and different from the other and I learned entirely different things, but my duties were the same. Can anyone offer any advice on how to tackle this problem? Thanks!
  4. My advisor has said that it is very important to mention being a reapplicant and what we have done to improve ourselves as a candidate. Beyond gaining more experience at my current job and a some more volunteering, I haven;t done a whole lot though. In honesty, I feel like poor interviewing skills is what held me back, not so much coursework, grades, or experience. That being that case, I have worked to improve on these skills, which in my eyes the most important thing I could have done. All of the grades, experiences, etc. won;t mean much if you interview poorly! What is your opinion? Thanks!
  5. When they were in the nursing program, or for this current issue?

Does anyone have experience Copying Application material? Is there any reason not to do so if you are a re-applicant? Are there any potential inconveniences/downfalls?

wxwin93, when first logging into your CASPA profile as a re-application, the first screen will ask you to reconfirm your email address. The next screen is where it will ask you about Copying Application Material or Starting a Fresh Application. (PAGE 2) Decide if You Want To Copy Application Data Step 2 in the re-applicant process is to decide if you want to copy data from a previous application. Whether you previously submitted an application or started an application but did not complete the application process, you can copy data to save time with this application. Select Copy Application Data to move to the next step. On the next screen, you will be able to review all of the application sections and decide what you want to copy and where you would prefer to start fresh. Copying previous data is a great way to get a head start on your application. The copy process may take some time - you will receive an email when your new application is ready for you to work on. If your previous application was a test application or you would prefer to start with a blank application, select Start a Fresh Application to clear out all application information. You cannot undo the Start a Fresh Application decision, so please be sure you want to wipe out all previous application entries before selecting this option. 8. Thanks! What would you say are some of the strengths/weakness of the program? What is a typical day like?
  9. Has anyone who interview received a letter of rejection? Or has the program only contacted people who they've accepted or placed on the alternate list? It isn't very professional to interview someone and not let them know they haven't been accepted.
  10. Do you know if they reached out to people about being placed on the "alternate" list? I recall someone saying that everyone who interviewed but wasn't accepted was "placed" on the wait list. Or at least was told so by the email/letter.
  11. As part of the additional questions in CASPA, the OU program asked for contact information for our healthcare experience supervisors. Does anyone know if they do in fact reach out to these people? I interviewed with the program (still haven't heard anything) and my supervisor said that no one has ever contacted him.
