  1. I was offered an EM per diem position with a well known hospital and asked for a non- refundable $500 application fee. This is not normal, Right? I am a new grad so inexperienced but this does not seem right to me. Thanks for the insight.
  2. Hello Everyone, I have recently been accepted to WesternU and Midwestern University in Glendale, and I am torn. If anyone has advice on which school would provide a better education, please let me know! I've heard one of Western's teachers is pretty bad but I haven't heard anything about Midwestern. I know that US World News and Report has ranked Midwestern substantially higher, but I would appreciate more insight if anyone can help. Thanks!

Really hope the alternate list moves quickly! Anyone know about waitlist movement and timing from years prior? Again, good luck everyone!
  6. I interviewed back in September and still haven't heard. Hoping for this week. Fingers crossed. Good luck everyone!
  7. Do you work for the University by any chance? What other programs charge a waitlist fee?
  8. I was placed on alternate list too. You have to pay $155 though within 5 days to register for the waitlist. Did you get that email? That seems unreasonable. I don't want to pay if I'm not in the class yet.
  9. From my experience, there were about 8-10 students there that day. You start the day with an interview session then break into either group interview or panel interview (half group does panel first, other half does group interview first, then the other after lunch). In the group interview, they give you one sentence scenarios (mostly, ethical stuff, "What would you do if...) and you discuss it with 3 other candidates. It's laid back and kind of fun. The interviewers just listen. Then there's lunch with admissions and faculty and a campus tour. After lunch is the other interview. The panel in
  10. I believe this is a combo of current and newly admitted students, so hard to say how many are new admits.
  11. How many people out there still haven't heard? I'm wondering if I should call. Don't want to bother them, but does anyone remember if they asked us not to call?
