  1. Hello, I am a second year (soon to be 3rd year!) PA student at Rush University in Chicago. I am looking for a preceptor in a medicine subspecialty (Nephrology, cardiology) or hospitalist from July 2nd-August 10th of this year. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Aanchal
  2. That's great! You could search around on this forum- lots of people have discussed which programs have traditionally accepted students with a wide range of GPAs. University of Charleston and Touro Univ-CA are some that I'm aware of.
  3. Definitely shadow and get as much experience with a PA as you can. I would also recommend having a PA write at least one of your letters of reference. The rest of your application seems fine but schools want to see that you have had exposure to the PA profession and that you understand their role in healthcare. Good luck!
  4. Your science GPA is not terrible, but I think you should broaden your horizons and search for schools that take a more holistic approach to reviewing your application. You have a decent amount of patient care hours, but getting some time with a PA would be beneficial. What are the percentiles for each section of your GRE? If any of them are below 50%, I would recommend re-taking it. Good luck!
  5. Hi all- i was recently accepted off the waitlist. Is there a facebook group for accepted students? If so, can someone please invite me? Thanks in advance.
  6. Was just invited to interview off the interview waitlist- will be attending the Feb 5th interview. Anyone else?
  7. I was also waitlisted to interview but I've accepted an offer elsewhere
  8. They sure do! I interviewed on 9/11 and was notified 10/15. hang in there!!

  10. I made one- message me your email addresses for an invite!
  11. I've gotten conflicting emails that say both Class of 2019 and 2018! Anyways, is this your top choice @pa2345 ?
  12. Thanks for starting this forum! And if I'm not mistaken, we would be Class of 2018? Since they shortened the program to 30 months. Does anyone know if there's a facebook group for accepted students?
