  1. Hey, sorry for not responding sooner! My classes for this semester started and I haven't been back on here in the meantime. I believe my application was verified August 3rd, or somewhere around there and I received the interview invitation Sept. 1. As for your final comment about order of applications, that I do not know. NYIT is the only program I've heard back from and I've applied to quite a few. Is a letter of rejection required from the programs or are silent rejections common?
  2. I received an invitation to interview via email today as well! Congrats to any others who have! Very exciting :)
  3. Hey Everyone, For those of you who have shadowed physician assistants already, how did you get the ball rolling? I'm currently typing up a letter of interest that I can personalize and leave when I approach places of interest. At the moment I'm considering going to Urgent Care or MedExpress facilities in hopes I can find some PAs there. I've also put out feelers to friends in the medical field in hopes they can point me in the correct direction. I've already contacted universities in New Jersey with PA Programs to find out if they have a program for alumni who are interested
  4. I think a general letter of interest should be typed up. Personally, I have heard that it is best that you go directly to the location of interest instead of calling or emailing. You could inquire with the front desk and leave your letter of interest. I am going to try that first and am currently typing up my letter of interest. I am curious, how did you get a list of PAs in your area? I'm having the toughest time finding PAs in my area. I've contacted Universities with PA programs to see if they have any sort of alumni shadowing organization and have come up with nothing. Hope my suggestions
  5. Pre-PA student looking to shadow in the following locations: Philadelphia, Pa Gloucester Co, NJ Camden Co, NJ Atlantic Co, NJ Already signed up for pashadowonline.com and all PA offices are located too far away to accommodate my current schedule. Weekend hours are best. Thanks! H. Lilly
  6. Didn't mean to post here. However, if you need help and are in Fl I have heard this website is pretty good... http://www.fapaonline.org You could also try pashadowonline.com Good Luck!
  7. Hello, Are you a PA in Philly? Do you know one who would be willing to have someone shadow them? If so, please contact me! My current career requires my attention from Mon-Fri 7-4. Therefore, a PA in Philly (esp. one who practices on the weekends) would be greatly beneficial to my work balance. Thank you very much in advance for any insight or aid you provide. Sincerely, H. Lilly PS-I am not picky in relation to the field. However, primary care/family medicine would be best.
  8. Hello, I am looking to shadow a PA in Gloucester, Camden, or Atlantic Counties. After signing up on pashadowonline.com I have noticed that all of the PAs are over an hour away from my residence/workplace. My current career requires my attention from Mon-Fri 7-4. Therefore, a PA in any of those areas (or one who practices on the weekends) would be greatly beneficial to my work balance. Thank you very much in advance for any insight or aid you provide. Sincerely, H. Lilly
