  1. Not ultrasound guided injection. Sorry, I should have been more clear. US specifically for diagnostic purposes, rotator cuff tear, tenosynovitis, other ligament disruptions, or even cubital or carpal tunnel. US in place of MRI for those that may not be able to afford or are unable to have an MRI. I know of one instance where one of our patient two days after a foot surgery (plate placed) was startled and while in her splint, ruptured her tibialis anterior. She was not able to have an MRI due to the plate not having had time to heal. My SP tried to use our US that we use to do injections, but since he doesn't ever use it for that purpose wasn't very convinced, ended up opening up and found it was ruptured... That kind of spurred the idea of looking into training some of us to use the US diagnostically.
  2. I am trying to show the ortho practice that I work for that investing in a good US machine and training me (and a few other PAs) on how to use it to diagnose would be beneficial. Does anyone know where I could find statistics on the cost effectiveness, accuracy compared to MRI, % of practices that currently use US... etc. I've been digging into journals for most of my information but they like to see numbers from reputable sources. Thanks
  3. There is a private FB group for each class. It is made by faculty and all your classmates will be added. I’d be happy to answer questions. Send me a PM and I’ll give you my email.
  4. There is a general goup that is private, not sure if we’re allowed to join yet ;) Maybe after the social or when we get a class list, we should start a Class of 2020
  5. So far no one I know has gotten an email. Last I heard in the next month as they finalize the class. I finally had to email them to make sure they had all my stuff! I believe start date is the day after Labor Day with orientation the week before.
  6. Anyone accepted feel free to add me on the book of faces. Tiffany Venne. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have also been accepted. Sent in my money already. I have a house in Duluth so I'm so happy to be able to stay! This was my second year applying to CSS, third time to PA schools in general. Glad to get started.
  8. Applying again. Just applied for DE last cycle. Had an interview and was waitlisted. Still haven't heard a definitive "no" from them but assuming it is. Kind of disappointing. They said they would email any waitlisted when the class was filled. Regardless, I am applying again, this time just to the on-campus program because I really like the program. 9. No news? I haven't gotten an email about the class being full. Tiffany Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Alternate for DE. :( Tiffany Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Awesome! Thanks! I'm interviewing next week for the DE program. Did people dress a tiny bit more casual on Thursday? I only have one suit, but a very nice outfit I was planning to wear for the first day. I've worn it for interviews before. Tiffany Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
