  1. Hey I recently got accepted into PA school just want to chime in, Honestly, until you explained the purpose of this opening, I did not understand what you were specifically trying to convey. I took that as a personal health battle instead of an insensitivity of undeserved populations. Also, this admissions letter is for Physician Assistants, Medical Doctors, Graduate and Doctoral professors. "My obsession with nutella and gas station slurpees.." is almost too playful and should be presented in a different way. I too started with an unconventional opener and I am happy to say it worked well. Best of luck with this and your whole admissions process!
  2. Accepted! if anyone has any questions please feel free to message me!
  3. So Doctor of Biology and Doctor Liberal Arts must be closer to MD/DO because they say Doctor? Take this for example.. Are online programs available?Nursing is a very hands-on profession so you might assume online programs don't exist, but they do. Students can earn both BSNs and MSNs online at a range of schools with some offering part-time curriculums as well. Online programs may offer live web-based teaching and when it's time to complete clinical hours, online programs typically set students up at a site the school has partnered with. How much will my education cost?Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey offers an Adult Nurse Practitioner MSN program that costs $1,066 per credit. This eight-semester program consists of 48 credits, which would amount to $51,168 for tuition only. Attending an accredited school such as Seton Hall may allow you to apply for financial aid, whether the school you select is a traditional classroom or online program. The average PA program is 90+ credits nearly double that of NP and there are a total of ZERO online PA programs. The comment at the top is ignorant bliss.
  4. As far as the PA vs RA topic specifically, I must add your location matters. I am a recent graduate Radiologic Technologist, who early on, debated on PA v RA. In New York City, for example, I have not rotated with or even met an RA. That is because of the high flow of Radiology Residents each June. I have read/heard that the more rural areas employ RA's because of the shortage of radiologists. Also in order to be an RA you must first become and R.T.® and have two years of experience. The main reason why I chose PA over RA is because Radiologists, as physicians, and PA's BOTH start their core schooling under the medical skeleton. As a PA going into a radiological case, you will have a better understanding of the diagnosis and etiology vs having only done your studies in Radiology.
  5. Just received the supplemental, and for question number three, I described my best/worst experience with patients rather than as a patient.
  6. Hey all, Congratulations to all being accepted! Off topic, but would any of you (or any year's accepted students) please share your GPA, GRE, HCE and occupation at the time of applying. Thanks.
  7. Hey congratulations! When did you apply? and has anyone sent this school updated HCE?
  8. Hey all, I will be posting this on all three forums so sorry in advance for the repetition. I attended the manhattan campus open house last night and here was the outcome: pretty much all the info that you can find on the website was thoroughly explained. Jen opened up saying since April she has received over 1,100 applications to manhattan specifically. both manhattan and bayshore have NOT started interviews, Manhattan will be around January and the bayshore campus interview dates were not addressed. As far as the winthrop e.c. I believe she said half of the class is filled already. More information regarding bayshore and winthrop will be available tonight however I wont be attending. If anyone attending tonight would like to pick up where I am leaving off that would be appreciated.

  10. Hey, I wont be attending this one, however I will be attending the manhattan campus one. I'll post my findings on all three forums for all.
  11. Jen had told me a few weeks back that they were sending interviews out for the first "group" of applications received. My CASPA was verified 9/20 so I was late, has anyone around my verified date heard back?
