  1. Monday - Friday except no later than 3pm on Fridays due to observing Jewish religion by the university. The first semester can be 9am-9pm with gaps depending on professors off-campus work schedules. MPH classes are always in the evenings. The first semester consisted of 5 MPH classes and 4 PA classes (5 if you count anatomy lab as a separate class). If classes run 9am-9pm then there is an hour for lunch break and an hour for dinner break. If classes let out early or there are longer gaps between classes then there is extra time to study. Also, there are many Jewish holidays that provide ~4 day weekends especially throughout September and October. Exams are not every week - they are scattered throughout the semester. Sometimes there can be 2-3 in a row but faculty is very easy to work with and they move exams around to try to help. Finals week(s) will always be every single day. I hope this answers all of your questions!
  2. Have you found anywhere to live with several roommates and 500-700? I am definitely wanting to move in with students and specifically ones who would be in our class. I'll be on the island looking for places to live May 29 - June 2 and if anyone has found a place they are going to live already with an available room please let me know!
  3. Which house is this? If you don't mind, I'm with Wendy on this one. My email is L.marie86@yahoo.com
  4. I'm traveling to the Vallejo/Mare Island area at the end of May to look at housing and hopefully will be able to put down a deposit/sign a lease for August. I am definitely looking at houses on Mare Island. I know there were a couple with multiple rooms available. I am only looking at places with roommates & if any of you are interested in looking for something together let me know! - Lisa
  5. Hello Yelena! I requested to join the FB page over a month ago and still haven't been accepted to it. How long did it take for you to get on there? Most people have said a week or so but that hasn't been the case for me. I'm just really excited to get to know everyone! My name is Lisa by the way :)
  6. You will receive a confirmation that your acceptance deposit was received along with information and this link: http://admissions.tu.edu/newstudentinfo/ Get your immunizations out of the way as soon as you can!
  7. Mescay - I will be coming from Kansas! My family and I will be taking a two week vacation to do all the sight seeing possible since I will obviously be too busy to take full advantage of it when school starts. It's going to be a big change and I am very excited for this opportunity!
  8. I'm from out of state so I'm excited to get to know more about California and the San Fran area!
  9. @abjk90 I was accepted off of the waitlist so there is still a good chance for you! Wishing you the best - hang in there!
  10. 1. I emailed tcweb@touro.edu and they helped me fix the issue. 2. After you receive confirmation of paying your acceptance deposit you should get an email with a link to TUC’s New Student website with all of the requirements and information. The orientation date says TBD but I looked on several different calendars and it looks like it should be August 4th and classes starting the third week of August. 3. Your Response form that came with your acceptance explains background check info. Looks like we will be contacted when they want it (they are paying for it). 4. If you look at the Good Places to Live Between Touro and San Francisco thread on the Touro forum a lot of people have recommendations. 5. http://www.tustudentlife.com/housing/rentals/ 6. https://www.facebook...11167268997833/
  11. Congrats Michael! I think starting a new thread for acceptances would be a great idea.
  12. I had the same problem and emailed tcweb@touro.edu and they fixed it for me!
  13. I received an acceptance on Tuesday and will most likely be turning it down. Crossing my fingers for the rest of this group! Best of luck.
  14. I do not know about rejections but when I was waitlisted it came in the mail and was just a single piece of paper.
