UM Shore Regional Health, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant to join a thriving practice. The practice will provide inpatient and outpatient services in Easton, Queenstown and Cambridge which are located on Maryland’s beautiful eastern shore.
Live and work close to the spectacular Chesapeake Bay in these ideal locations that offer family friendly neighborhoods, gourmet restaurants and shopping. This regional health care network serving Caroline, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties includes the UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, UM Shore Health Medical Center at Dorchester in Cambridge and UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. UM Shore Regional Health, which was formed in July of 2013, connects residents and visitors to primary care and specialty physicians, emergency medical services, and a coordinated system of prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Seeking a highly energetic, self-starter Surgical PA that seeks independence in patient management and wants to work in a team. Will consider new grads.

Will be a 5 Surgeon practice

Currently have 4 surgeons working together 2 in the practice and two private practice surgeons that are joining the group

Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant & Surgical Scheduler currently on staff

PA support in the practice; inpatient rounding & consults

Education and Experience:

Graduation from a Physician Assistant educational program approved by the State Board of Licensing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Maryland required.

Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant required.

Experience as a Physician Assistant preferred, not required.

Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.

DEA and CDS eligible.
