Our radiation oncology team at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA is looking for an experienced PA (oncology or neurology preferred) to join our CNS team. The CNS PA would join a team of 6 physicians, 1 PA, and 1 NP. The department currently employs 12 APPs across various disease sites. Primary role of the CNS PA will be to lead inpatient consult service for central nervous system patients. The PA will examine, evaluate, and triage all new CNS inpatient consults including those needing brain directed XRT as well as symptom management from disease/treatment. They will work closely with the neurosurgery and neuro-oncology services. The CNS PA will also see outpatient post-operative consult patients to discuss radiation options. The CNS PA will interface with the supportive and palliative care service to discuss appropriate triage of palliative CNS patients. They will support a small independent follow up clinic for routine post-treatment visits. This position allows for independent practice within a team who values the PA role.
