  9. Thanks everyone! Definitely a surreal and humbling experience getting an acceptance letter. I'm hopeful you all will get the same experience in the near future. Also, please don't compare yourself with my stats. The admissions committee has a very holistic approach, and more importantly, we're more than just numbers! We have our own unique stories, anecdotes, and journeys towards medicine and the PA profession. Anyways, hope this helps. cumulative GPA: *** science GPA: *** GRE: *** HCE: *** PCE: *** General interview tips: 1) Have solid answers to questions like "

  10. Don't lose hope yet. They may not be done sending out invites yet (there are 100). Plus, often some applicants deny their interview invite so someone else gets it. (The email said there's a waitlist for interviews). Something I have learned is it's not over until you get a rejection email. (I'm a third time applicant).

  13. I would not retake, unless you need a higher GRE score to help boost your application due to low PCE or low GPA. You have a combined 306 that is evenly distributed and a 5.0 in writing, which is a good score IMO. I would use the $205 to retake courses or apply to 4 additional schools.

  18. ...No one knows. You're receiving moderately-educated guesses at best, and wild shots in the dark from internet strangers at worst. Even an adcom member can't give you a 100% reliable "chance" because each school is different. Your experiences, personal statement, school list, timing, and "fit" all play a role. Even then, adcoms make surprising decisions. It's not uncommon to be accepted to reach programs and rejected from "safety" schools. Instead of risking false confidence or misplaced defeat, ask yourself these questions instead: Are my GPAs, both science and cumulativ

  21. Hey! I'm a current 1st year at MWU and just found out I am going to be a student ambassador for interviews! So I wanted to hop on to see if anyone had been offered interviews yet. I had a cGPA of 3.3 and sGPA of 3.19 (but my masters was better), but they really look for well rounded people so don't get too hung up on the stats! Also, a lot of my classmates got in off the wait list! Hope to meet some of you online!

  35. I reached out to them and they begin around the 3rd week of May and when I explained my situation, they said that they are aware several students might encounter that issue so they will accommodate according, which is relieving to hear.

  36. Me too! Do you have more detail on the style of the interview? Because I didn't receive the initial invitation, but they sent me a link saying to sign up for the interview and save a spot on the 15th. Would it be a group one? or is one faculty member just going to individually interview us?

  38. Your use of the words "practicing reciting" is scary to me as a PA program interviewer. This often (can't say I caught them all!) can come across as amazingly rehearsed (which it clearly was). If we get too much of that, we can always ask something like, "if you were to be an organ, which one would you choose and why?" Anything to see how you react to stimuli! We've read your application: now we want to see how you are as a person. The answer is sometimes less important than your ability to handle something new thrown at you from deep left field. If I had any advice, it would be this:

  39. Oh ok that's not bad then. Look into their complete benefits package. Also, that RVU is attainable as long as you are consistently semi-busy.

  41. I looked at the forum for last year 19/20 cycle and the first time someone mentioned that they received an interview invite was on 9/26/2019 and many people were also responding saying they were offered interview slots for the day of 10/18/2019! Hope that gives you some ideas on when to expect it. Someone else also mentioned last year they had a new director so things were changing. Good luck

  44. Hey everyone! Congrats on the pending interviews!! It’s killing me that everything is ready and one of my LOR is dragging their feet to send it in. She’s brilliant but a little scatter brained lol. I’m hoping to get to hit submit this week though. Does anyone know if you do the professional transcript entry if that adds to your verification time? My classes are spread over a ton of schools and some are specialized enough that it was easier to do the professional entry.

  45. Has anyone taken medical terminology through DU online? I recently registered and it said that it requires about 20 hours/week and I'm a little nervous that's going to be too much and overload me since I'm already an undergrad taking classes and working.
