As of right now, I have a NICU rotation set for later this year in a Level IV. I previously worked in a Level III NICU as a PCA, and was wondering if anyone who’s done a rotation or precepted in the NICU would recommend getting my NRP certification for it? I’m not sure how hands on the rotation will be but would like to be as prepared as possible :) Thanks!

PAs (and others) go on a union organized strike.

I am with you. there is no ability to push back against huge companies as one person. add in the financial incentives to take advantage of PA and the only answer is unions! - Today

Greetings, I am a PA-S2 looking for family medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine rotations in Orange County. If anyone has any leads or knows any providers who would be willing to take a student, I would be so grateful! Thank you!

Anyone else going crazy waiting to see if they will get off the waitlist -
I just finished this quarter. I did pretty well... Stupid test though for sure! I had a question about a child with ETD and I prescribed a decongestant. (I wanted to send to ENT, which was an option, because you know... I'm Gastro! ) but the answer was wait 3 months. I guess that's some update on ETDs that I missed? I would prefer a Gastro/Hep CAQ or exam.

I ended up having to call customer service and have them send me the form. I cleared the cookies and cache from different browsers and even tried at work to see if it was my device and I still couldn’t download the document.

What are my chances? CASPA cycle 24-25
DiggySRNA replied to jengo's topic in Pre-PA General Discussion
You have a pretty solid shot in getting invited for an interview. If you shine during your interview you'd have no issues getting accepted. 20 schools is a lot of chances and super expensive. Good luck though! You got this. - Last week

I took a gap year to really strengthen my application and those around me have gotten in their first cycle. I am really anxious as this is my first cycle, can I get some constructive comments regarding my stats and if my chances are ok? My science GPA: 3.6 Overall: 3.8, graduated Cum Laude, president of Pre-PA Society at school, got EMT/MA experience that accumulated 2,500 PCE hours, volunteered for 150 hours, shadowed PAs for 100 hours, and have 4 recs: 2 doctors, 1 PA, and 1 professor. I’m currently planning to apply to 20 schools from various states but majority will be from California since I reside here.
