What's up with the reefer madness vibe, sheesh, the kid is night to day.
Just Steve
It is a study of n=1 but really can't argue with the positive results. Amazing video. Thanks for sharing it.
jsfelder0417
It would really be nice if it was rescheduled to II, so it could actually be researched, instead of the 'oogey boogey' conjecture you get from the DOJ, DEA etc. being taken as truth. Hemegroup
Agreed. Especially when things of this nature come to light.
Hemegroup
As I'm currently working in Pediatrics, these types of new informations and studies are carrying more weight for me. Here's one for potential of worm therapy: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/01/21/study-looks-at-worm-therapy-to-treat-autism/?test=latestnews http://www.einstein.yu.edu/departments/psychiatry-behavioral-sciences/autism-program/autism-program.aspx?id=36040

Maybe if their child's autism is extremely severe....I don't know.
jmj11
I can not count how many parents who have brought their kids in to get medicinal marijuana for their migraines . . . and they've had NO OTHER TREATMENTS. There are NO supporting studies for marijuana in migraine. If I put their kid on a preventative medication that had the side effects of marijuana, they would be outraged. gamecaco4
I've heard of people putting their autistic children locally on med. marijuana. I have an autistic child, but he isn't nearly as self harming as the child in the video. He is very irritable, very emotional and incredibly strong willed. He has threatened suicide and planned several ways to do it. He has thought of putting himself in harms way ("falling" onto a busy street, running away so a stranger would kidnap him, making something heavy fall on him so it would kill him, "dropping" a knife so it "accidentally" cuts his wrist). Would I do the marijuana thing? I don't know. I don't have the studies to back up it's positive effects. I also think that there is a fine line between medicating and drugging your child. Friction
I'm neither for or against the use of pot for medicinal uses, however, I think there are more positives than negatives. While I'm not sure of its pediatric uses, how can you deny a cancer patient something that helps them support a life sustaining ability? I think its a little ridiculous, based upon my my difficultly with alcohol, to classify a drug like this as something so dangerous. We sell a far more dangerous, or two, substances on just about every corner in America. I get a little fed up seeing the American government profit from alcohol and tobacco sales at the expense of its citizens.
