Hello everyone! I am applying this cycle and am making a doc with all my courses listed out to ease the application. As you may know, "subject" is one of the required boxes to fill.

I took First Year Seminar, has a letter grade, and counts as credit. I cannot for the life of me find a good subject option to put this under, can anyone help?

Also I have an Online Learner Orientation course, P (pass) but with 0.20 credits, and a "New student orientation" with a P (pass) with 0 credits given, what subjects would I list these under?

	Thank you so much!

	Hi everyone,

I’m working on the new 2026 CASPA essay prompt about emerging technologies. Does anyone have tips or strategies for approaching this essay?

	PROMPT:

Emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, telemedicine, and wearable health devices are changing how clinicians deliver care. How should future PAs learn to use these tools thoughtfully while maintaining strong, human-centered relationships with patients, even in settings where access to technology may be limited?

Hi! I am wondering if anyone is actively a student/alum for MCPHS Boston's 6-year PA-Pathway program. I have questions about what is included in the science GPA, the application process, what counts for the CASPA, if they look at math & if they include both semesters of ORGO if necessary. There has been a lack of communication from the administrative end and I need a student perspective. Thank you :)

My gpa is 2.8. It's very bad, I know. It's from years ago (2014) as all my recent schooling I have done well.

Is there any chance of this being offset by 800 volunteer hours, 250 shadow hours and 22k patient care hours plus 5 great references?

	Hi,

I'm a little stuck on what to do in my situation. I took general chemistry at ucla (14a) but didn't get to finish the series because I graduated. I was thinking of taking Gen chem II at UCSD extension. My issue is the gen chem at UCLA doesn't have a lab its only a lecture and I know most schools require one year of chemistry with labs. I was also thinking of taking Orgo chem at UCSD extension which gen chem II and ORGO have labs through there. Will that satisfy the pre req of one year with labs? Or does my gen chem I need to have a lab as well? Would I have to retake gen Chem I?

It seems like CASPA switched up the years and semesters I entered for my past courses. It is only by a year or a semester. I am confused because I remember putting it in correctly and it passed verification where they matched it up to my transcripts as well. I just got verified, so im not sure what to do. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or if it is a big deal? Thank you!

All of the information I see on their website is about updating course grades and subjects, nothing about the time. I feel like the only reason im worried about it is because it would change my "junior" gpa, ultimately ruining the "upward trend" that I have shown. My overall gpa's would be the same regardless. I am also aware that CASPA only calculates GPAs once, which makes me wonder if theres anything I can even do.

First time applying and I requested all LOR in mid-May. All 4 were received in early June. I submitted my application on 6/7. After checking daily for status updates my evaluations changed from completed to expired. Anyone have any idea what would cause this? I’ve emailed CASPA and will call Monday morning when they open.

I was an English Preceptor at my college, this required sitting in on classes and helping the professor teach, but there was also a lot of time outside of class spent helping students - at least 4 hours a week, which was done alone, without the professor. You had to sign up for this position, and they would not give it to just anyone, but an EXP credit was added to your transcript if you did it, and we needed an EXP credit to graduate. On Caspa, it says, "Teaching Experience: Experiences in which you were in charge of instructing others, such as a teaching assistant, tutor, etc. Do not list teaching experiences that were part of graduation requirements." Does this last part mean I can't list this experience here? Can I not list it at all?

Hi, for the introductory biology sequence at my school we had one single lab that was a separate 3 credit class (Two lecture courses each 4 credits and then separate lab for a total of 8 credits). I was wondering if this counts for schools that require two semesters of intro bio with lab? If not what could I do as there isn’t a second lab class to be take. For intro bio. One school specifically is Pitt but overall curious if anyone else has faced this?

Would it be possible to take the GRE and choose not to report it on CASPA? I am currently considering to take the GRE in order to apply to more schools, but I am worried I won't score well and it affect my application for others schools who never required it in the first place.

For one of my school semesters, I labeled one of the semesters as "spring 25 senior" when it should have been "spring 25 junior". My application was verified and I can no longer change it. Will this mess everything up/what can I do to amend this?

Hi all, I applied two weeks ago or so and am worried because I realized I left out 200 HCE hours, it just completely slipped my mind. I have 1800 PCE from my job because they let me do clinic only typically, but my first summer there I did some HCE (which equated to 200). Will my application be okay without it or is it worth emailing schools that I forgot to put it on there? I don’t want that to be a sign of me being unprepared hence why I’m considering just leaving it off completely.
