I was wondering if there are any alumni or current students of the Towson/CCBC program who would be willing to share a little about their experience with the program? Overall, how did you feel about the quality of the program, how they handled everything with Covid (if you are a student now), if you felt supported during class/rotations, and how prepared you felt for rotations/PANCE/work life if you are currently working.

Thought I would start the thread! I was verified by CASPA 5-4 and have yet to hear if they received my application yet. Has anyone else experienced this yet? I know it's super early still

I live in Maryland and am looking in to applying to programs in the next cycle. I am looking for alumni or current students who have insight about the program.

Why do you think the program was put on "probationary accreditation"?

What are the clinical rotations like? Are they nearby to the campus or do you have to travel?

For alums: Did you feel prepared to practice after graduation (what specialty do you work in)? Did anyone do a residency in any specialty after graduating from CCBC? Did you feel you were a competitive applicant?

Would you recommend students consider CCBC?

I figured we could start a thread for hopeful and potential applicants for this program to get to know each other and possibly exchange and advice and information about what to expect!

CCBC is among my top choices, if not my top choice and I plan on applying for this program as soon as the Spring grades are in!

I applied to this program and my application is currently under review. I was speaking to the Director of Admissions about my biochemistry class and hopefully it will count as a prerequisite course. In any case, I wanted to start a thread for this year's applicants so we can share our journey together. My name is Elaine and this is the first time I've applied to the program. I'm currently living in Portland, Oregon working as a dialysis technician & preceptor. I also have 4 years experience working in big pharma, producing a drug for colorectal cancer (protein purification side).

A little about me - my name is Katie, I'm 27, and I live here in MD. I was a middle school science teacher (biology major in undergrad) for 5 years before deciding to pursue admission to physician assistant school. I've spent the last year volunteering, working, and finishing pre-requisites. This is my first time applying. I'm really excited!

My CASPA application was mailed on June 23rd. I got an email from the program on June 26th stating that they had received the application. So far, so good!

So -- anyone else applying this year?

So, Towson/CCBC was the only school I applied to where I wasn't able to attend an information session (super bummed). Now, with the interview looming, I feel less prepared for this one than my other ones. I think it's because I haven't had that personal view of the school and their program packet is a little dry on the 'Why We're Great!' I don't feel my lack of uber-enthusiasm is an accurate reflection on the program, but rather because I haven't had that introductory dose of 'What Could Be'.

So, I'm asking fellow Towson-hopefuls, as well as Towson alums and currents to share with my your reviews of the program/campus/faculty and staff, what feelings you had when you visited, what stood out to you, what you like, and what you didn't. I'm hoping to gain a sense of that 'intro' before walking in the door tomorrow morning (I know, I left a lot of time for replies...). If not, I'm sure the beginning tour and general feeling of the day should help me out. I (hopefully) have a very tough decision in my future!

I checked their most recent student profile (2 yrs old). Out of the ~45 students matriculated, only 1 was out of state. Anyone know recently if they take more out of state? Is it even worth applying as an out of state resident?
