<p>
	Disclaimer: This thread is intended for the accepted class of 2020 at Augsburg University.
</p>

<p>
	Hi all!
</p>

<p>
	First off, <strong>congratulations</strong> to everyone who has been accepted this application cycle for the class of 2020! We all know we have all worked <em>so</em> incredibly hard to get to this point and, as a current PA student recently told me, "the hardest part of PA school is over--<em>you're in!</em>" Not going to lie, I shed a few (several) happy tears last night after receiving the phone call from Augsburg.
</p>

<p>
	Secondly, I wanted to extend greetings to you all as we will classmates much sooner than we know it come late Spring/early Summer. I interviewed on 9/29 in the morning session and cannot quite tell from the forum posts if some of you are from that interview day or not. But seeing as we will all be in the same class, I thought it wouldn't hurt to get an idea of who we all are.
</p>

<p>
	Finally, and slightly off topic, what have you all decided to do regarding housing? The current PA students at Augsburg mentioned nearby apartments surrounding the campus.
</p>

<p>
	I am so excited and genuinely proud of all of us for getting to this point in our lives! Whether we come from traditional or non-traditional academic backgrounds and diverse life experiences, we are all pursuing a shared passion.
</p>

<p>
	Cheers!
</p>

<p>
	Anna

<p>
	I was searching through some of the old forum posts and figured I'd create a new one to consolidate updated answers and advice.
</p>

<p>
	I was recently invited to interview at Augsburg for the end of September, and with this being my first-ever interview, I am feeling an explosion of emotions--from disbelief and excitement to downright nervousness. I realize programs will sometimes vary in their questions, so I am wondering if any current PA-S or alumni of Augsburg's PA Program would be willing to share advice and what to think about in preparation for the interview? Were there any unexpected questions? How much interaction did you have on interview day with faculty/staff and current students?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks so much in advance, and good luck to everyone applying this cycle!

<p>Like so many other applicants, I am anxiously and eagerly awaiting for the end of September to roll around to see if I will hear back from Augsburg. That being said, I was wondering if any graduates or current/pre-existing PA students of this program have been accepted and/or wait listed who have also had "lower" GPAs? My GPA would make some cringe on paper, but the pre-reqs for the program ended up being successful, so the upward trend in grades is what I am banking on the program to acknowledge (high hopes, I know...). </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Anyone fall into that category? I otherwise am also hoping the rest of my application is worthy of consideration--50+ hrs of shadowing multiple PAs in multiple clinical and hospital settings, anticipated 1300 hrs of direct patient care working at Regions Hospital as a PCA, 300+ hrs of "community service" as the VP of a large Asian-American student organization during undergrad, 200+ hrs of volunteer tutoring International students in English outside the classroom, and 400 hrs of ED scribing. While I'm not expecting to be accepted this first time around, I am still curious as to who got accepted or, if you didn't, did Augsburg provide detailed feedback such that an applicant has something to work with during the year before the next app cycle? </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Thanks!</p>

<p>Hello,</p>
<p>I am currently looking into PA programs that are around my area, or have a distance education program so I do not need to relocate. I am most looking at either Augsburg College or the UW-Madison Distance Education program. I would really appreciate it if anyone could offer some information about why you chose Augsburg over other colleges, what you like/dislike about the program, difficulty, etc. Or, if you know any information about the UW-Madison program, I would love to hear that as well! I am also open to suggestions about other programs. Thanks!</p>

<p>Hello all Pre-PA and PA students!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Congrats to all those who have been accepted for Class of 2014 and those who are currently working on completing the program. I have been searching throughout this site and every time I run across a stat posting of someone who was accepted but had a low GPA my hope goes up :=D:. However, the more I search the more I find those who are accepted with high GPA's and my hope goes down :sweat:. I am beginning to lose hope and worry, but everyone who has posted says to not lose hope and persevere. That's exactly what I am doing and will not stop until I get into PA School. For those who have already been accepted to Augsburg College for class of 2014 and those accepted earlier, could you please put up your stats so the rest of us can get an idea of what we need to work on? It would be greatly appreciated!!!</p>
