that's a pretty good rate for a new grad in NYC; if you work 14 shifts/month (42 hrs/week), you're looking at about 95-100k pre-tax. Is there any PTO/CME time? If ER is what you want, it seems like a great deal, if your SP's are willing to teach/supervise you in the beginning while you're new

Thanks for the replies.. Am so uneducated about what benefits I should be looking out for. They didnt really teach us this stuff in PA school, What is PTO/ CME time?

Am single, and have been paying my own health insurance for some time.

Thanks for giving me your opinion, mostly when I say there are no benefits people tell me that the job is bad.

But grossing 90- 95K, will I be able to comfortably live and pay for my own retirement, benefits etc?

This position is PA friendly, and are willing to train and develop a new PA

It seems like all my classmates are looking for those nyc jobs that pay 85k, with pension, benefits, CME, perks, but those jobs are so scarce and competitive to even get an interview.
