I’ll be assisting in the ER, approximately 30 hrs/week, decent benefits. I have 9 years experience and this is in Texas. She said she had 7 years experience in Ortho and was getting $60/hr + benefits. Although she works in Long Island, if that makes a difference. cervantes21 Posted October 18, 2010 Share Posted October 18, 2010 Well, the ortho PA that came last month for his section told me and a friend that he has an offer for 70 an hour plus bonus. This is in Las Vegas, and ok, it's not my offer, but he says he knows that he easily bills out 50k a month and he considers 70 low. I'm just flicking through the forums...sorry to butt in! The surgeons have signed on with their contracts. Us PA's have not met with or discussed what will be changed. The docs tell me-- nothing!:O_O: However I hear thru grape vine that we will go to PTO ie must earn time off for vacation & sick. I'm unsure of CME time. I had 10 days each + $2500 for cme. I'll only have 1 year of experience with this ortho job, no prior PA jobs to speak of. What does anyone out there think about pay? Going rate for CT? Should I b looking for a raise? what is fair?
