anovy
As a new graduate, I interviewed for a specialty surgical position at a well-established academic hospital. However, I was informed the position is a union job. I have no experience with unions. I have no references who are PAs in a union. With specific regards to Union 1199 (Healthcare Workers' Union), what are the pro's and con's? Should I be skeptical? I was not given a pay scale or window. However, wouldn't unionized pay equate to a surgical PA making the same amount as a primary care/internal medicine PA per hour? Thanks for any advice/input.
