Does Wayne State want transcripts sent directly to them through their supplemental application or will the ones sent to CASPA suffice?

You must send both, however, I was told via email that uploading your unofficial transcript in the requisite area will help expedite your application, as they are lenient with the time after which your graduate application can be marked complete with respect to the actual transcripts.  I had all my transcripts (with the exception of one, as I was taking a summer class) send last week, and I'm still waiting for them to be marked complete FWIW.

Would it be too late to finish the graduate application as of now? I already sent in my transcripts to the school I just haven't paid the $50 yet.. Is it worth me applying? I just finished a class a week ago.

The graduate application doesn't need to be completed until 9/1, so yes, there is time.  The transcripts may not all be verified by then, but they don't have to be.  This is from an email I had sent to the PA department:

We allow up until September 15th for the CASPA to be verified  to allow a cushion of time.

If you submitted the grad application by 9/1 and the official are on the way you will not be penalized if the transcripts come in after 9/1.  Particularly if you uploaded the unofficial copies.

Just found out that one of my college didn't send out my transcript to Wayne, and we are past the deadline date. I e-mailed the graduate admissions office to give them a heads-up and I've ordered a new transcript to be delivered via e-mail tomorrow. Hopefully this doesn't kill me for this year.

I had all of my transcripts sent electronically. My email routed all of the confirmation emails to my junk folder. I thought it was strange that I got immediate notices from WSU that my baccalaureate, master's, and one post-baccalaureate transcripts were received, but not the second post-baccalaureate. When I dug into my email I found that the system had not processed the request for my transcript and it was not sent out. I had confirmation emails for all but the last one. I had uploaded unofficial transcripts for all four to the app. I am hoping the graduate office will still accept the last transcript.

Hey, I think you should be just fine! But if you are really worried then email PAadmit@wayne.edu with your situation and I'm sure you'll be okay. I'm pretty sure they'll accept transcripts up until September 15th or something like that past the 9/1 deadline.

Since I'm still finishing up my bachelors I have my unofficial transcripts sent and I emailed both the grad admissions and PA department and I was told they can still render and process my application with the unofficial transcripts. Then when I graduate I would send the grad admissions my official transcripts, so the grad app in reality seems like a formality because at the end of the day they have all our official transcripts through CASPA...

Most likely next week! A friend in the program told me that the interviews are gonna be held Oct. 19th and 20th

Thanks for the info! This is my first real application cycle and the anticipation is dreadful.

Does anyone happen to know off of the top of their head the number of applicants Wayne received over the past few application cycles? I couldn't find it on other threads about the WSU PA program. I understand that there are about 50 seats, is this accurate?

Also, good luck everyone.

I believe they get about 800-1000 applicants, interview about 100 and take about 50.  Last year, they started sending out interview invites on the 5th of October.  I got my rejection letter around about October 10th.

I spoke to someone from admissions that I know and he said they received about 700 for this application cycle! And yes there are 50 seats.

Ugh..I feel you on the anticipation..the anxiety is consuming me!

Did they explain to you on why you got rejected?
