hwilliam
I recently submitted my CASPA application, only to later discover I had made a typo. I inadvertently referred to the PA profession as "Physician's Assistant" instead of "Physician Assistant." Needless to say, this is quite embarrassing to me, moreover as I cannot touch my essay now to change it. I just wanted to gauge opinion - how bad will this be for me? It is in the very first sentence, no less.
LadyNichiavelli
Yikes. Tbh, from what I've read, referring to the profession as "Physician's Assistant" may be a deal-breaker for some programs, because it shows a level of lack of understanding of the profession. I don't know, maybe if the rest of your essay and application is amazing, they may look over it. But that typo is definitely a glaring faux pas. boli
Yikes is right. Sorry mate. I don't think one word will get you rejected but that's a pretty big slip.
