Submitted application this morning.

Thank you! I can do that:

CASPA cumulative undergrad GPA: 3.80
CASPA science GPA: 3.71
GRE: V-156 (72%), Q-153 (51%), W-5 (92%)
PCE at time of submission: 1100 total

Did you want any other stats? Let me know!

Did you self report GRE scores? I am wondering how the interview turnaround was so incredibly fast! I hope its that fast for me too! I have a 293 GRe but 12,000 PCE and a 3.6 sGPA/cGPA

Hey guys!

This is my 3rd year applying to salus university. Had interviews both of the first two years. This year I have greatly improved my application and applied very early.

Application verified may 13th, 2017.

Stats:

cGPA/sGPA 3.6

PCE: 2000 hours

GRE: 150/150/4.0

have not been invited for an interview yet so I'm getting nervous that people who have applied a month after me already have an interview. Hope to hear from Salus soon!!

How was the interview when you attended? I am interviewing this year and would like to know how the overall interview is structured. Do they emphasize anything in your interview such as personal statement?

Depending on how many students interview on that day will depend on how many staff conduct your interview. My first year I was interviewed by two staff at once and my second year just one. The interview was very laid back and really just felt like a conversation. The questions were different from year to year but they did ask about my weaknesses, how I handle stress, and they WILL point out any weaknesses in your application. My big one was that I got a C in organic chem, we talked about that for a solid 5 min. They did not mention my essay. My best advice is to make sure you are prepared to explain any weak parts of your application and have good reasoning go back it up. Also, every applicant was asked " if you could be an animal what would it be and why"?

Did they seem to emphasize the GRE? I scored a 293, its a clear weakness of mine. Did they mention anything during your interview of the GRE?

Pez,

during the interview they did not mention my GRE scores. However, after I was rejected I scheduled an appointment with one of the counselors to discuss why I didn't get accepted and what I can do to improve for next year. Last year was the first year salus required the GRE and they told me that my score ( 150/150/4.0) was just enough to put me over the hump to get an interview. They said the new director of the program is all about GRE scores but she feels as though it directly correlates with first time pass rates for boards. But there was clearly something about your application they stood out to them because you have an interview already.

I interviewed there last year and it was a quick process. As a group you meet with the director and get more info on the program then 2, 1 on 1 interviews one with a staff member and one with an admissions counselor both were less then 20 mins each.

Hey guys!

I was just wondering how the interviews went yesterday (7/19)? I'm interviewing on the 26th and any advice would be great to calm my nerves.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hi! They went the exact way that was laid out to us in the email. They tried to do 2 one on ones with us but one guy got that before they realized that we were already running out of time haha the interview itself was quite standard. They have a list of questions they're going to ask you and there were no hard, surprise questions (for me, at least!) so prepare ALL of those typical questions! The director is such a wonderful woman, she made us feel at ease at the beginning of the day. We will know in 1-2 weeks!

If you have any other questions, feel free to message me!

Good luck!!!

I submitted my application July 4th, and it was verified July 11th. Still have yet to hear from Salus other than they received my application. A friend of mine submitted hers last week and already has an interview. Do you think that means my application was rejected?

I think schools place applications into different tiers. They want to make sure they interview the best applicants first. Just because your friend applied after you and got an interview doesn't mean you won't. Last year my one friend applied around the same time as me, my interview was in October and she didn't even get invited for an interview until December... she declined because she was accepted somewhere else.
