Applied beginning of June, verified by Albany about a week later, and received an interview invite mid-June for July 19th. I went to an information session in the spring and really liked the vibe of the program. Albany is definitely a top tier program that flies under the radar.

The program is in an city with lots of things to do but still has a small town feel. If you haven't yet I would definitely walk around. Washington Park was beautiful and there is a wide variety of restaurants to eat at. The interview was much more relaxed than I was expecting, which I think says a lot about the faulty and the program itself. That gave me a good feeling about the program. They also let you know quickly about your status. They are on top of their game lol. Got an email about just a few hours after the interview that I was accepted :)

Same here! I was accepted while checking in at Albany airport only 2 hours after the interview day was over!! The interview day lasted from 8am-1:30pm. It didn't feel real until I got a hard letter in the mail a couple days later! I'll be putting a seat deposit in. I really liked the program too, but of course waiting to hear from other programs before I can 100% say if I'll be at Albany in January. Either way, I'm happy! Any readers currently at AMC and have any tips/insights/pros and cons of the program?

I interviewed at Albany about 3 weeks ago and was accepted into the class of 2020! I really loved their program!

Congratulations! All my LORs are finally completed. The only thing they were waiting for.  Hoping  to hear from them soon for among interview.

Do you think that there are any other interviews coming out? I was verified and complete a few weeks ago but still have not heard anything. A little worried about that.

They run their interviews up until December, so they are definitely still interviewing applicants. I'm not exactly sure how they process applications, so I would wait a little while longer to hear back.

What did the interview process entail? I'm interviewing July 19th! Is there an essay portion, group interviews, 1-on-1, etc.?

Congrats on getting an interview! It was very laid back. When I interviewed I met with a lot of the faculty (who are all very nice and friendly btw!), learned about the details of the program, had lunch with some of the students, and went on a student-led campus tour. The main interview was 2 separate 1-on-1 interviews with the faculty, about 10-15min each. The atmosphere was very relaxing for an interview and the faculty made it seem like it was more of just a conversation and getting-to-know-you thing instead of being interrogative. None of the questions really threw me off. The questions were very standard; nothing to try and trick you. Make sure you know the details of your application and make a list of what you want them to know about you that sets you apart from other candidates and what you can bring to the program and the profession.

Thanks for all of the info, and I agree, it was very laid back and relaxed!

How long after you got the "under review" email until you got the call for the interview?

I submitted my CASPA app June 6th, was offered an interview July 12th, and they will let you know of their decision within 24 hours :)

Interviewed yesterday and I received an email at today saying that I am accepted!!! Albany seems like a very solid school, especially after yesterday's presentations, so I'm honestly in shock that they would want me haha. Best of luck to everyone else!

Albany is a solid school and the fact you were accepted means you were a very solid applicant. Congrats!
