Hello everyone!

I am a current first year student at Bethel. Please let me know if there are any questions you have about applying to this program.

Hi! I will be applying to Bethel again this year. Last year I was put on the alternate list. I feel as though I have improved greatly on my application & ive gained more experience. I'm hoping I will have the opportunity to interview again. Any advice on the interview? Last year mine was very laid back. I was very nervous and I gave some short answers. I think that's what hurt me the most but I never got a clear answer. All of my stats meet or exceed the class that started this year. How has your experience been so far? I'm curious about when you may choose your electives for the clinical year. Have you touched base on that yet? .

First, let me say good luck to you on your application & hopefully we can meet during the interview process! As far as the interview goes, just be yourself! The process is really an evaluation of you as an individual so let your personality shine and be sure to communicate why you're a good fit for the PA profession and Bethel.

The clinical electives take place the third year and can be used (mostly) however you see fit. Some students use them as a job interview, some use them as additional training to bolster their resume (like doing a pulm & cardio rotation to prepare them for an ER job). If you are accepted at Bethel, worrying about your electives won't take place until you are well into your clinical year, as most students don't have a clue what field they want to work in until they get some rotations under their belt.

Hope this helps!

  • 2 weeks later...

I have an interview for July 22nd, exited! @JMGPAS1, would love information on where to stay/eat while in town. I was also wondering if anyone else was having trouble with the PA shadowing form link, when I click on it I get a screen saying "file not found". Thanks!

For applicants not from Tennessee flying in for your interview, I recommend flying in to Nashville and taking the northern route via I-24 W though Clarksville and US-79 S into Paris. This route is equidistant as I-40 W, but much more scenic and has more options for stops on the way in. Once you get though Clarksville, you drive through the Land between the Lakes National Park and Paris Landing State Park. Paris Landing is about 20 minutes outside of town, but has some great lodging and restaurants and is a really beautiful area during the summer. If you are more comfortable staying in town so that you can be closer to the interview in the morning, the general consensus is that the Quality Inn is the place to stay. It is attached to our convention center, so it has the best rates, most rooms, and a good breakfast in the morning.

Depending on when you arrive in Paris really makes all the difference on what dining options you have, as a couple places close a little on the early side (depending on what you’re used to… I’m from Phoenix where I was accustomed to eating late-night grub all the time). Perry’s is the best BBQ in town. He runs a little outdoor-only BBQ shack in the downtown area, but closes around 7 PM (Right next to 209 N Market St, Paris, TN 38242). Woody’s is probably the best Pizza restaurant in town (849 Volunteer Drive Paris, TN 38242) and there’s also Miso (Japanese-ish), the Olive pit (Italian-ish) and El Vallarta (Mexican-ish) all located on Mineral Wells Ave.

Again, congratulations on everyone for receiving an interview at Bethel! This is an excellent place to go to school and I’m looking forward to meeting all of you! Please let me know if there are any other questions you may have.

+1 for Quality Inn, I know thats where I stayed as well as several other students stayed for ourinterview. Less than 5 minutes from school and is probably the nicest hotel in town.

Things do close early here, and some won't open on Sunday. So just be aware. I wen't to Perry's last night at 6:15 and he was already closing shop because he was out of BBQ.

Congrats on getting interviews. It's a really great program here.

I too am having the same issue with the link. If anyone finds a solution, keep us posted!

I simply emailed admissions about the broken link. I was told that they were working on it and they attached a form to an email for me. I'm sure it's fine if you do the same. You can always email me and I would be happy to forward the form to you.

Hello! Did everyone who received an interview invite also receive an email or notice regarding their application being complete? I haven't yet received any correspondence since submission of all my materials so I was just wondering. Thank you in advance!

Yes, I did receive an email stating that applications were under review.
