So I used Google and a burner email to download the 2015 tax returns for the NCCPA (for free).  Here it is.

https://drive.google...EFwTVQwbDA/view

This is not my field, but maybe we can crowdsource this.

Based on a very brief, cursory look at their balance sheet, it looks as though it's a lot more lucrative than we expected.

- They pull in about $16M / year.  (broken down by type of exam fee, which was interesting)

- some of their expenses and salaries are very vague but they claim about $13M.

- salaries were interesting

- They have about $12M invested somewhere earning respectable returns

- The two organizations - PA health whatever and PA history whatever, look straight up hinky to me...check them out on NCCPA "about us " website.

http://www.nccpa.net/FoundationPage

what do these organizations do?  well, nothing really, they "value" things and "respect" other things.  These verbs are not jobs or functions that justify you spending time on them...just saying.  (What do you do?  I'm a mechanic, I fix cars.  What about you?  Oh, I "value" and "respect" things.  )

Download, read, Discuss.

Dawn Morton-Riass is making nearly $200k more than everyone else at $334,234. I wonder what her salary is now two years later.

Lasharn Hughes (VP of Certification Maintenance) was only paid $11,740 but that was probably to being hired late in the year or left early in the year.

Wow! Interesting!! That explained why they're in for a fight with AAPA. Talk about cat fight.

Imagine where our profession would be if the AAPA could bring in $16 million a year.

Nice work south!!

This reminds me of movie plots when organizations set up "shell" sub-corporations or subsidiaries as elaborate laundering fronts.

Also my estimate of 17 million was very close!!

That 12M in the stock market....could be a rainy day fund for a war with the AAPA or it could be a "retirement" fund for board members.

I just dont trust them.

So the AAPA, which does everything, is only about 20-25% bigger than the NCCPA, which only does certification?

AAPA has to beg people to join. NCCPA has you by the gonads.
