resources for learning more main side stuff

step one is to  take all the merit badge course like acls, atls, pals, fccs, and the difficult airway course. after that, try to see sicker pts at the facility you are at. you may need to change jobs to see sicker pts. I changed jobs several times at 2 year intervals before finding a good fit. basically, when you feel you are no longer challenged and learning new stuff it is time to move on and up.

consider a residency if you want the gold standard in em training. also consider attending a sempa conference, em bootcamp, etc At some point courses like APLS(the physician level pals course) and ALSO(ob emergencies) are great courses to consider. I took the NRP course, but didn't recert it as it didn't really offer much that you don't learn in pals or apls.
